Question for the gurus

has anyone ever chipped the stock ecu and maybe use a program to tune it im not quite sure how to word it but I had this done to my nissan 240sx with an sr20det in it we chipped the ecu and I run a program called nistune on my laptop to tune my engine and I can then "burn" that image to my chip their is a couple companies that does this for nissan (calumsult, nistune,) I was wondering if any companies did this for toyota or if their was a way to do this on your own.

P.S.--sorry if this doesnt make any sense but im dead tired

To date, only one company still offers rom tuning in our community. ATS installs a tech tom rom board in the stock ECU and uses the tech tom software to remap some of the tables.

RickyB et al. is working on a speed-density version of the stock ECU, IIRC.

And a local speed shop does "rom tuning" as well. They specialized in Nissan's however, but they listed the 3SGTE ecu as one of the ones they can reprogram. I don't know much more about it since i've seen less than stellar tuning results from them with Toyotas.

I have an extra JDM ECU (For 91/92 GEN II 3sgte) if you are interested. Haven't posted it for sale, but pm me if you are interested in it. I purchased it, tested it, but decided to go AEM instead.
