Where from m8 ?

Well so far i am concidering 4 options ..

1. the intercooler i refered to from ebay but i asked and i would have to remove my stock X strut bar which i wanna keep. or take the kit and buy a fan and intercooler adaptor (from gtschris ltd company no. 6202176 :: OnLine Store ), make a custom Intercooler to TB pipe and it would prolly cost alot .I like that kit cuz the pipes are solid pieces and you dont have to make other IC pipes or use the stock ones . the ebay intercooler is this :

eBay Motors: SW20 3S-GTE MR2 Intercooler Piping Kit + Air Pipe (item 190292269739 end time Mar-15-09 18:46:42 PDT)

2. the other choice im thinking about is the berk technologies from Chris at gtschris.com . with this kit you get everything but need to keep the stock Ic pipe from Turbo to Intercooler and maybe a custom made pipe from Intercooler to TB heres the link :

gtschris ltd company no. 6202176 :: Berk Tech Intercooler Kit £399.99

3. get an ebay intercooler kit like the one in the link below from the UK (cheaper for us cuz of shipping to Cyprus and no tax) , keep stock pipe from turbo to intercooler or make custom one and buy the fan and intercooler adaptor from gtschris.com .

TOYOTA MR2 TURBO SW20 SMIC INTERCOOLER KIT & PIPES on eBay, also Engine Tuning Parts, Performance Tuning Parts, Car Tuning Styling, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 23-Mar-09 15:20:51 GMT)

or

eBay Motors: CXRacing Intercooler Piping Kit MR2 SW20 3S-GTE (item 330313852818 end time Mar-18-09 18:04:12 PDT)

4. buy only the intercooler off ebay , buy the fan and intercooler adaptor from gtschris , and have custom made intercooler pipes like option 2 but because they will be custom made to your choice you can save your X strut bar.. example of the intercooler alone is :

eBay Motors: CXRacing Intercooler mr2 GT4 3SGTE 3S-GTE Turbo Bolt on (item 370169365063 end time Mar-14-09 00:42:31 PDT)

Conclusion:

From what I read if you are not planning on making more than 300-350 bhp or whp not sure you dont need something extreme as an intercooler and people say the ebay ones work fine for them .

I would personally like to buy a good intercooler and have everything else custom made as i mentioned in option 4 + buying fan and adaptor from Chris.

Im very picky and i want everything perfect in and out of my car so custom would mean things done as I like including pipe size/diameter, pipe material since ive noticed that some kits are with stainless steel pipes and not aluminum , keeping my X strut bar and at the same time professional work .

On the other hand I dont know if the intercooler which has solid piece pipes would be good or bad due to engine vibration .. I would need an expert to elaborate on that or when the time comes I could take it to the professional I go to and ask him .

I guess its about taste too for your strut bar keeping it or not but personally Im between the berk technologies intercooler as mentioned in option 2 and having everything custom made .

Last but not least I was thinking of having an intercooler made for me which would be the same dimentions as the stock but twice the width . But seeing that almost all side mount intercoolers are the same from different vendors it makes me wonder if its a bad idea .

Well thats all I guess . God that felt like i was writing a novel LOL . I hope this helped .

P.S to the experts : any mistakes i made please correct me if you know
what your are talking about

you don't have to remove your stock x-bar strut brace, ebay/ems/berk ect. side mount intercoolers, you just can't use the TRD strut bar with these intercoolers.

see attached pic...

i didnt know that ! whats the difference between the stock strut bar and the TRD then ? the TRD is lower ?

theres actually a kit on our vendors which is brand new and water to air for around that price actually m8 . check this out people here will love it xD

Rogue Systems - Revision6 ChargeCooler Kit (Radtec Racing)

i wish i had the budget for that but since my car is having the HG changed atm i cant afford anything else ..

P.S : do you know by any chance what size i should use for my recirculation bov ? 19mm or 29mm ? i have an HKS replica and want to recirculate due to my AFM

there prices aren't that bad. how many pounds to a dollar? cause if i remember right, it's more like $200 for some steel braded lines, and there like 80 pounds at this place for all four.

why do you have to change your bov? aren't you keeping your stock hot pipe?

well from the currency now thats about $1200 for a complete kit . im not using my stock bov cuz i never had one + my intercooler pipes and air filter pipe were replaced by aluminum ones a long time ago .. i have an HKS SSQV replica which works fine and has the option of recirculation so i want to use that instead of venting to the air since from what i read its better to recirculate engines with AFM

eh, it is an it isn't. im running a RFL bov vented, sounds mean, works well, and i get a little backfire when i shift slow, cause of the over fueling that occurs. but, i like the fact that im not resircing hot air into the intake which is suppose to be pulling in colder air, and i like the back fire noise. i got no cats and 3" piping from turbo to tip

well kind of, i have a blitz nurspec exhaust muffler. With the turbo though, it's not really loud, like a riced out honda or something.
