even 1200* paint wont last, anyone know how hot the turbo gets?

thats a good point about the wastegate, your only running 6psi or so .. so i guess it has to open up and bleed all that excess air ..

so wait... maybe I am mistaken. But y'all are using this turbo with no Fuel Management at all? This seems horribly risky to me. Do you have a wideband to make sure you are still within acceptable AFRs?

as for the 3sgte swap for the Z06, sounds pretty cool .. .. maybe the insurance might go down if i tell them its a 4cyl corvette, that would throw em off ..
Ok, I just had to chime in on this one....I like MR2's and the 3SGTE is a great, well-built engine. However, the thought of someone trying to shove a 3SGTE into a Z06 is awful. The Z06 is a great car, putting a 3SGTE into it would be a waste of both. The mention of that is enough to make me ponder one thought....why...

Well he said he preferred 4-cylinders
I for one totally agree with you, I think it would be a retarded thing to do.

lol, it was a joke ..
youd have to be pretty messed up in the head to put a 220 hp turbo 4cyl in place of a 405hp n/a v8

kblake - i thought it might of just been a mistake

nodla - why would we need fuel management when were not pushing more psi than our stock turbo's ????
