you are correct -- but we sucessfully hybrid the supra and ct26 turbos to make one wicked stock looking turbo which has similar power to a TD06 turbo.... we call it the CTD06 and i'll have to get some pics of it for ya

BOLTING ON: CT26 from a MKIII Supra
From what I understand the turbine housing and wheel is bigger on a CT26 out of a MKIII Supra versus the one that comes stock in our MKII. My turbo is leaking as it is, and someone was offering me their turbo for sale, just wanted to get some quick insight on this from the experts. Thank you

This is a PM that I received from Matt. Excuse my ignorance but I'm not sure what a ST165 is, is that something off of a Celica?

that is the first gen Celica ALL TRAC they share the same 3s-gte but they were gen I 3s's at the time.
I would do what he said so you get best of both worlds...the spool will be a BIT slower but nothing you will notice. www.celicatech.com (run by luni on this board) is a great place to find parts. |

Does the ct20b and ct26 use the same exhaust manifold?

technically no, the ct20b is off gen3 and the gen3 manifold positions the turbo at a slightly different angle also making the gen3 dp to be different as well as oil cooler.
HOWEVER, the ct20b is a complete bolt on for the gen2 (with gen2 manifold), only difference is that you wont be able to align the turbo stay bracket, instead you can leave the bracket and let the turbo sit on top of it. |

So it would be ok to run a ct20b without any other mods on pretty much stock gen2?

yep if you want to push it you need fuel mods as the ct20b can take you above the fuel limits!
