i definately like the stock, i rerouted to vent to the air, and it makes a nice sound. im using a coolant tee on the end of it so its not so much of a wide sound, more of a narrow like an aftermarket bov

I like the stock OEM BPV best, however, I guess when you run an EMS, that's a different story.

i dunno, i have a stock non-vented bov now, but my first 91T had an HKS SSQ and i loved the sound. not to mention it was a quality product that worked very well. my brother's old all-trac ran a blitz, sounded mean too, so those are my fav BOV of all time IMHO |

I need to do a write up on how I modified my stock one and build another off the car
mine flutters now and is louder, all stock. another I got bored at work things, but it's pretty cool works better, less issue when on/off/on/off the throttle a lot in tight corners or just whenever. hard to show what I did while on the car :\ |

well as posted before i had a Turbo XS RFL whatever it was called . After a long time i realized that it was leaking air due to the spring inside going soft . That caused me idle problems and loss of power. The one i have now i got it off my mechanic for free and its a Turbosmart. Pretty plain nice aluminum blue not very loud its a bit more quiet than a TurboXS i had before . Only prob i faced was because of the stiffness of the Turbosmart BOV i get a minor surge when car is not fully boosting . Im running at about 0.7 bar
![]() ![]() Im now thinking of buying a new one because of plans for more power ( already have 2'5 inch no-cat exhast similar to the TKO one , oem filter box with K&N air filter , T3/T4 turbo , 38 mm external wastegate etc) Will be either a SSQV style off ebay ALL NEW SSQV Blow Off Valve Turbo BOV + Adaptor KIT $95 - eBay (item 120311049451 end time Oct-01-08 05:40:12 PDT) but because i have to take my car for inspection i was thinking for another one similar to oem European turboed cars which is this one eBay Motors: Bosch Turbo Bypass Valve for Audi Porsche VW Diverter (item 250301471624 end time Oct-05-08 18:11:55 PDT) unfortunetely for me i bought the car with the TurboXS BOV installed already so i dont have the oem BPV.. |

Which would work better for a 5sfte venting or reciculating? (with the basic setup). would it matter, because of the NA tuning... or reading from a MAP sensor?

the engine will run a little rich but only for a fraction of a second right after the valve blows because the ecu wont reckinize that you will have let off the boost and registers in the computer that you are stil boosting

right on. I just thought it might not because of the use of a map sensor
