Pulled Hard...REAL HARD
The 16g ran awesome...for 6 laps. Then I smoked two pistons on the longest straight (around 120 mph). I think I ran it out of fuel no doubt due to the stock fuel pump and injectors. So the motor is trashed and will get a good setup. BUT the turbo pulled way harder than stock, especially on top end. It was able to hold 15 psi at factory redline...so no, there was no dropoff on boost. Actually it was kind of spikey and I was seeing full boost at almost exactly 3000 rpms with a serious punch coming off of the corners. I didn't bother with the camera because this was just warmup laps, but I did get some video of a street run at lower boost. I knew I should have thrown a fuel pump and the 550's in there.
I have the feeling that this turbo could hit 300 whp with one of the best powerbands for roadracing. DANG. Patrick |

Is a 16G a direct bolt on or is there some major modifying involved? How much do these things cost? Is it a viable upgrade to a stock motor or do you have to get a bigger fuel pump and injectors?

NO
I made my own adapter and downpipe. I wouldn't say this upgrade would be feasible to replicate either. I would think a t3/t4 setup or GT would be a better bet to build a kit off of. But the 16g runs good on a 3sgte.
I would think my pistons would be a good testament that this turbo will tax your stock fuel setup easily. Patrick |

im about to install my ssac turbo kit tommorow .. maybe you could change the pic and fix the link for the "review" to my thread / sticky about the kit ..
dont know if thats how the kit used to be like, but the "new" kit includes a tubular manifold, t3/t4, dowpipe, wastegate, bov, and turbo accessories kit (oil lines, vacuum lines, fittings, etc) |

So I'm getting the Berk exhaust and I noticed that they have a turbo kit for the 3s-gte on there site as well...has anyone tried that? heard of it? I think it uses a Garrett GT3071R or GT3076R...any comments on these turbos?
