awsome .. that nipple even look familiar .. got a few options in the box of fittings they gave me ..

i gotta go to the parts store in the morning for some more coolant line .. made one of the heater lines too short so my 3" hose wont fit onto the turbo, so ill get some hose then

how many miles do you have on the turbo? .. it looks to be the same one i got

actually .. your a/r .50 is on the housing the opposite way mine is ..

ok .. got it back .. its perfect .. they drilled and tapped a hole where shimric pointed out ..

got the nipple out of the ct26 .. it came right out with a 12mm wrench and its in the t3/t4 now ..

the nipple i got with the kit was too small to me, so i decided to use the stock / bigger one

got back to the install .. im about 98% done so far .. only things left are to prime the turbo, put the turbo drain on, alternator belt, and fill it up with coolant ..

next thing i did was install the downpipe (i test fitted everything prior to final install this time)

then installed the 02 sensor and wastegate

here is the new intake elbow i made out of normal auto part store parts .. it is a plastic elbow with two 3" connectors .. i think it was around $20, the stock elbow isnt big enought to fit onto the ssac t3/t4 turbo

also notice i got the oem ct26 wastgate line nipple drilled and tapped into the ssac turbo .. i found some fuel line from a diesel truck my brother used to have .. so that should be more than sufficient to stand up to the heat .. i clamped both the wastegate and bov lines

skip a few steps of reinstalling parts that arent part of the kit and here is the bov and wastegate hookups .. and the final result

hey mr2magic .. that fuel line is made in germany .. look at the top pick ..

i guess i need to take that cold pipe back off and shoot some aluminum paint on it real quick .. the engine bay looks ALOT better in person, the pics make it all look dirty

You can polish the cold pipe. I use Heavy Metal Polish.

thats an idea ..

do you have to sand it any .. or just go at it with polish .. i did my plenum on my 91 camaro but it took a good bit of sanding and polishing ..

might end up doing that instead of painting it ..

I bet that fuel line is gonna be the only thing left after everything else self destructs

Only joking Adrian. Looks good so far. Would it be possible to do a complete list of all parts and fabs required after you've finished installing? If this kit is ok then it will save others the time and frsutration of running up against the same problems :O)

Stuff purchased to make the kit complete: (prices are approx. what i paid)

1) 18mm to 6an fitting - $9
2) 6an to 4 an fitting - $9
3) 90* 4an fitting - $9
4) 2ft 4an oil line - $30 (pre-fabbed with female connectors on each end)
5) thread sealer - $2 or so
6) oil drain 90* hose - $4 (could use stock one if it isnt leaking like mine was)
7) 90* 3" intake tube - $12 (chrome plastic for the turbo intake)
8) (2) 3" intake tube couplers - $8

total - $83 .. i'd say around a $100 with tax and everything ..

as for modifications / fixing the kit -

1) clock the turbo oil and compressor housing, takes a couple minutes with a 1/2" wrench
2) my compressor housing hit one of the header tubes, so i heated it and hammered it in a little to clear .. mr2gq's didnt hit, so just a flaw in the header i got ..

.........................................

.. that hose will still be there if it blows up .. im gonna double check everything tonight, button her up and hope she comes back to life ..

where the two metal pipes go into the waterpump .. i put a new gasket and o ring on them, but it isnt holding ..

i put soap on the o ring, but it wasnt that hard to put it in .. could my waterpump housing be messed up ??

im about done with this damn car .. fu%^ing mr2's just eat up my money and time .. ive had my 89 for a year and i havent driven it yet .. WTF ..

any ideas .. because i really dont feel like taking all this stuff back off ..

lol .. ok, ive calmed down a little .. it pissed me off b/c i spent days putting it all back together perfectly, then the damn thing that is WAY down in there leaks

but 10 minutes later and everything is back off

.. went and unbolted the manifold and the oil line and the whole assembley came out ..

i found a new waterpump and them pipes, so i should have it fixed pretty soon ..

does anyone know if i can replace that thermostat housing without taking out the waterpump?

...................................

my 89 mr2 has gone threw 2 motors in the 14 miles ive put on it, so im accustomed with $hit blowing .. just not crap leaking after putting a new $11 gasket on it ..
