they have made them and i think they still do.

Here is a site that has it for the 3sgte for under 500

and horsepowerfreaks has it for another 100 or so.

The turbonetics cast manifold is set up for a T3. And has a horrible wastegate mount as well, IIRC. Not worth the $500 IMO. You are much better off keeping the stock cast manifold with T3 adapter if you plan to use a turbo with a t3 footprint

why does the same **** get posted OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER ..

Ive seen that video a million times, seen pictures of all the other ssac kits blown up

show me a mr2 turbo ssac kit that is messed up, blown up, trashed, etc .. YOU CANT

thats a damn car that some dumbasses were seeing when the turbo would blow .. didnt you watch it where they say "that was 50 something pounds of boost"

come on now .. this thread is just getting stupid because of posts like that

I mean damn .. I got 10740 miles on a $400 kit that all I wanted for in the first place was to replace my stock blown turbo (instead of buying a used ct26 or rebuilding one)

and right now it will throw me in the seat damn hard, and leave marks all the way down the street through third gear .. what more could I want from a $400 turbo kit

dont post anything else unless it pertains to the SSAC KIT for the MR2 .. no other cars

hey, I bought a ssautochrome downpipe, turbo manifold and cat-back. The parts arent installed yet, but people keep saying there garbage. Are they???
I was thinking of using the cat back, and buying a berk downpipe, and just using the stock manifold, but if the SS DP is ok, then Ill stick with it.

What do you guys think?

i've had the manifold, downpipe, and exhaust on my car.
its cheap enough to buy and works good too.

i still use the exhaust. however i am on my 3rd manifold. the first one cracked...
the 2nd one I still have. but since i am now on a GEN3 engine i had to buy another one.
the GEN2 one still is fine. no cracks.

my CT26 downpipe had a crack in it. but i had it fixed before it got bad. its just fact some tubular pieces do fail. no biggie. u gotta accept some things for the price u pay.

i think they are ok parts to me. but everyone has their own opinions.

the exhaust is awesome by the way.

I just purchsed this kit from ebay eBay Motors: 91-95 MR-2 MR2 CELICA ALL-TRA T3T4 TURBO CHARGER KIT (item 350161104910 end time Feb-09-09 23:39:01 PST)

and I will be reviewing it on a full level of throw the turbo on your car and see what numbers you can pull with a stock fuel system. And then will step up to piggy back and 550's with 255lph pump, and then if worth while I will try it with a full EMS.

Ken,
It won't help. Most of these guys that buy this cheap chinese junk will continue to do so and when things break, they won't post about them simply because they're embaressed. Eventually they'll either save up and do it right, or they'll scrap the car and sell it off to some other individual who will have to deal with the cheaply done modifications.

For all you guys wanting an awsome kit at a lower price. Save a up a couple hundred bucks more and take a look at our entry level turbo kit that we just released. We have various turbo options available for it to get you anywhere from 300 - 600hp. That and it comes with a REAL lifetime warranty on the kit and a 1 year warranty on the turbo. Oh, yes, and it's actually made for the MR2, unlike that cheap chinese junk. You can find it here: http://www.mr2.com/forums/ems-powere...mspowered.html

I like you Baktash (i got your Carbon Fiber Toms scoops), but uhhhh...

Dont you sell these cheap chinese knockoffs (you stated this in a thread by the way on here or on the OTHER forum a while back simply "...cause people ask for it...")

I dont believe everyone appreciates a vendor talking garbage when they sell "garbage" mixed in with their offerrings.

The only thing i cant seem to wrap my head around is that folks are saying people are stupid and naive for buying ALL of the knockoffs when the exhaust system and intercooler system itself have little or no issues and are actually preferred by many, but anyone who buys one is an idiot for spending less on a quality, proven, cheaper product

Not saying all are, but c'mon man

I almost feel Vendors should not take part in these discussions to this extent as it is a strong strong strong risk of saying something wrong that offends current or potential customer base just so you can hop on a bandwagon or make a point, sometimes it ain't worth it.

I am not defending either side necessarily, I just like to hop on certain things for the good of our communitty.

With that said, I like Baktash, and I will buy his authentic and chinese parts

I still have yet to see anything proven. Granted, you can't really F up an exhaust (even though SSACrap still managed to do with with misaligned tips). But thus far, the only documented data done on the ebay crap is from RickyB's AIT datalogs showing that the ebay kit is heatsoaking at meager power levels during his tuning session. That doesn't seem to go well with proving the SSACrap is a good product.

The only parts we sell that are made in china are an exhaust and a downpipe. Other than that all of our parts are made exclusively in the USA. There is no way in this world that we would ever even consider selling anything as important as a manifold, turbo, or anything similar that is anything but the abslute best quality and made in the USA (or in the case of our turbo's, made in Germany with quality engineering).

I really don't care if I'm offending anyone, these turbo kits are 100% junk. Not a worth a single penny of anyone's hard earned money. If anyone takes offense to that, you really need to just step back, take a deep breath, and re-evaluate your priorities.

I'll say it again, and I'm sure Ken and others will as well...

THESE CHINESE TURBO KITS ARE GARBAGE! DO NOT USE THEM! DO NOT BUY THEM! DO NOT INSTALL THEM! DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO FRIENDS! DONT GO NEAR THEM!

dissappointed in your response, I guess giving candy to a child evertime they ask is appropriate I expect more from our vendors that we hold in high regard for protecting our communitty

Dont understand how folks play both sides of the fence, "all this stuff is crap unless you buy it from me" is all i got out of the response.
