OEM Turbo Manifold vs the infamous EBAY Manifold?
Should I keep my stock turbo manifold? Or should I install my Ebay manifold, ceramic coat it and weld it even more so it won't crack down the road?

Leave the stock one. The eBay version won't buy you anything except reliability problems.

Not all ebay manifolds r cheap. I've seen some pretty good quality manifolds come out of ebay. How much did u get if for?

The oem manifold for the MR2 has to be one of the best designed cast manifolds produced for a factory turbo vehicle for its power and price range. There is really no reason to change manifolds unless you are hunting down some massive power.

Don't do it. Spend your hard earned money on something else that is worthwhile.

I'm planning on going with the FULL RACE manifold myself. It's pricey but is evenly distributed and good quality.

Full race makes some beautiful manifolds and if I was going with a big build, thats what I would use. But to use it for anything less than a huge hp engine would be way less than cost effective.
As far as those ebay manifolds, they are usually junk. Most of the time you have to get the flanges decked yourself because they are not straight and causes leaks or they crack. Your best option is to take the OEM manifold and have it high temp coated and use that. |
