SW20/GT4 Gauges Cluster Turbo signal?
Hey guys, how is the turbo sensor signal handled and/or sent to the gauges cluster. I noticed it somehow gets an electronic signal from somewhere. Any clues how this is done? Directly from the MAP sensor?
Bonus question: what should that signal look like going into the gauges? Spank you! Last edited by puretone; 04-07-2009 at 04:06 PM.. |

MAP sensor converts pressure into a voltage, i can't find the online image for the output but I think I have it at home.

So I guess it confirms that it goes to the ECU first and from there to the gauges cluster, again assuming the MR2 does that too.....the one thing I wonder though is how the gauge in the cluster handles the signal & more importantly what the signal looks like....if it's 0-5v like many Toyota gauge signal in/out-puts are....sine wave or square etc.... |

i'd doubt it would be a wave of any description. More likely a linear response to a linear input
