best downpipe
Whats the best downpipe for a gen III motor what kind of results should I expect, whats the best bang for the buck. I was thinking of going berk any suggestions and hints as to where I can buy.

I think you will get mixed answers. From what I have seen....KO makes the best quality downpipe out there.

sorry to say to the KO fanatics but it looks like Im going Berk as they have a great sale going on. for 150.00 what kind of increase in HP should I expect on a gen3?

I put a full berk DP and exhaust on my mr2. With the stock cat and berk exhaust I could only boost to about 13psi at high RPMs now I can go right to 18psi. It woke the car right up. I spanked an S4 and an evo. Good fitment Stainless Steel and built in flex. I have had it for almost 9 months and have had no problems. I think KO racing is just painted steel. If you want SS it is a lot more. It did take all summer to get it the berk stuff in though.

Some Skills

Just a warning about the berk downpipe. I tried install my wideband the other day and the hole they make for the wideband wasn't big enough. It looks like that cut a hole in the pipe and then weld the threads over the hole. I had to dremel out the hole slightly with the downpipe on the car and that was a huge pain. So if you're getting a wideband, make sure it fits so you can dremel it while its off of the car.
