Oil pressure switch thread size.....
Hi guys
Having some problems: Im trying to fit a mechanical capillary oil pressure gauge. The oil pressure switch screws snugly into the T-piece adaptor. The T-piece also screws nicely into the T-piece adaptor.... so why wont the T-piece screw into the stock switch position on the head??? The threads look identical - and both tapered pitch. Any help really welcome!!!! |

Because the head is tapped for a 1/8bpt(british pipe thread). You will need a 1/8bpt to 1/8npt adapter.

Sorted - re-tapped the thread at the same thread of 1/8bpt and it now fits. Must have been dodgy machine work.
Electric sender was the problem as the mech gauge shows healthy pressure. |
