Rim Vs suspension compatability

im looking at eventually putting tein flex coilovers on my duece. and i have heard that 17 inch rims are the biggest that fit on stock 92 turbos. do you guys think 17s would be too much after i put the teins on? i dont wanna just blow a bunch of money and then have to replace the rims in a year when i do my suspension. suggestions?

it's more the offset than the rim diameter. there's a thread on other people's set ups and i think some of them have coilovers and 17s. 17s+tein should be fine.
