My 3SGTE,..what gen is it? LSD? Help!!!(photos)

I got my engine in yesterday and was wondering if anyone could tell me what gen engine and tranny I have. I was paying for a gen 2 but the paper that came with it has 94+ scribbled on it. And it looks like a gen 3 to my untrained eyes. Anyone got some wisdom to empart?

this is the ECU label

And I got an HKS BOV

the P/N on the ECU is from a 3rd gen I think?

Looks like you got lucky Gen 3, which means it has the LSD transmission as well.

Yes some do not have LSD but like 80% or more do have it. Wanna know if you got LSD, pop out one of the axles and see if theres a bar going across the whole inbetween the shafts.

Also, yes they're right, that is a Gen3 and Gen3 ECU. You got really lucky Lol how much did you pay for it?

I paid 2000 shipped. It has a brand new oil filter, air filter, uncut everything, new sparkplug wires/destributer, new belts, and they packed the the tranny outputs with enough grease to lube a catapillar tractor. I'm pretty happy with the first impression of it. I'll have to check for the LSD "bar" tommorow just to be sure. The BOV says HKS on it too so I'm already excited.

AH F you!!! Lol I'm jealous. I paid $2250 and mine didn't look near that nice when I got it. Cut harness, wrong ECU, and no air box. Congrats on the good luck man can't wait to see it in there. Even if it ends up not being LSD thats a hell of a deal.

I believe this is the real company, but I ordered from JDM Planet. It's all the same thing I guess. Or the Osaka guys in Canada supply more than one JDM front in the states most likely. Either way, I'm still wiping my drool from the first glimpse of it. I was expecting the worsed...like a hacked harness or twisted metal. Out standind shape.

I got mine from OsakaJDMmotors.com and holy crap thats the worse customer service I've ever had to deal with ever. Motor runs awesome though. Trans did crap out in about 6 months though. I'm still really jealous over you only spending $2000 on that. Mine was missing a few things that one has and was still a pretty decent deal for $2250 shipped.

Yeah even with my trans going out I'm not complaining cause the motor runs awesome. I've heard some bad stories too. Motors with almost all the rods knocking, water in the motor, tons of missing/crushed peices.

O course I can't jump around yet...not till she fires up the first time. Here's to a perfect first start. I'm guessing from the outward appearence though that it will be fine. Can't wait.
