3S-GTE USDM Turbo Engine Timing Belt Q! Gr. Pics inside and help needed

Well, I'm pulled my motor just to do everything right. I'm doing timing because it appeared to be 5 degrees off. I'm super confused. Here's some pics.

Ok,

This is when the HB notch is pointed at 0 Degrees ( and the cover is on as firm as possible)

Now, when I look under the valve cover, it's really close, but they're not dead smack in the center; Here is the exhaust cam

( This one may look centered, but the notch is a little to the left)

And here is the intake cam

( There you can tell it's not dead center)

Now: Here are the markings when the HB is at 5 Degrees

The Exhaust cam

The Intake cam

So: I've read that if it's off by a tooth, I'll be ok ( which is what it appears to be )

But, I would rather have it dead smack. So would this work:?

Keep the cam gears in the same position, slide off the belt, move the crank pulley to the 0 mark, and put on the belt again?

I would be all about dead on but you can see what it will do not dead center.
I'm no timing guru, I'm dreading that part of having my motor back together.
Sorry I couldn't help a lot but I figured I would give some kind of input since no one
has yet.

What do the timing marks on the gears say? If you ask me the difference is negligable but I would try to get it spot on.

im getting the same problem on my 85 mr2 4age..
when the cam marks are dead on the crank is at 5 degrees BTDC, someone told me it could be a stretched belt is this possible?

It's fine the way you have it is. Unless you've got some aftermarket gears its dam near impossible to get them exact.

okay if thats right then, what pin do i put the distributor rotor on?
someone told me TDC on cams and crankshaft you should put the pin to one, but i tried it and it doesnt start..
