Looking at buying a 1992 Toyota MR2 RHD, 3S-GTE Turbo, 5spd

I am going to look at buying a 1992 Toyota MR2 RHD, 3S-GTE Turbo, 5spd tomorrow. When I go look at the car is there anything I should be looking for? What commonly goes wrong with these cars?

take lots of pics. if its a t-top, its probly leaked but ask anyways to see what the answer is. maybe you can tell if he would lie to you or not. also if its on the east coast, rust like a mother ****er. besure to check under the car. see what records the guy has, take lots of pics, and get more info, and then throw it all up here. all the people on these forums will rip it up for you xD

Is it true JDM or just a RHD swap? Just keep in mind that if it's true JDM, it could be illegal, and if caught, it could be crushed. Only if you're in the great free United states. Disregard if you're in Canada or somewhere cool.

I would say take it to a mechanic and have them go over a used car check list. most shops have a standard list they go by and its not expense at all.

I have some pics that he sent me that I will post now. I hope I can find my camera before I go see the car for I can take more. The car did spin into a wall but the damage looks contained to the rear bumper, rear bumper cover and bumper shock. He told me about a leak in the T-top without me asking and told me that he is going to replace the seal. He also is including a rear clip of another JDM MR2; as I have requested this in order to repair the car. The guy is a DSM guy, as I am myself and I am trading him one of my DSMs for this car.

It is a true JDM. I live in Canada so we get to have them with no worries.
