fresh motor, oil leak :( please read !

so i just finished rebuilding my 3sgte for my 2 full reduild 20 over full gasket kit, ect ect,
and i got in all in and everythin hooked up, started it to test for leeks, the odd coolant dribble was present, but once i ran it for a couple consectutive minutes i found that a masive oil leak had started inbetween my block and tranny,
first think that comes to my haed is rear main,
but the question is why would it start leaking a while after being ran?

i am running a 5w30 castrol syntec, too light ????
im kinda puzzled

any type of info or help is thanked

im kinda bummed that i will have to pull it and seperate the tranny and clutch but **** happens i guess

thanks again!!!!!!

My Google Map

The rear main would only show signs of leakage while running due to pressure in crankcase and some other reasons, and 5 30 isnt too light thats what it's suppose to have.

did you replace the seal
if its still the old one they can be easily damaged when removing them/ replacing them
they are directional so if you bought a new one separate it may be wrong

also dumb question is the seal actually in there????

either way you will need to either drop the gearbox off or remove engine

while you have the tranny split check the 3/8bsp dryseal plug on the left 3/4 of the way up.
