400 is actually ALOT of power in our cars.
But if you want to go that way you will need a turbo kit.

400 is pretty easy to hit. heres a parts breakdown of what you need.

EMS- i got my aem with all sensors used on a board for 1200.
turbo kit- i put mine together wiht a tubular manifold, dp n tial 38mm by no-cash, a sc61 brand new from honda-tech, and oil lines by KO Racing. setup cost me 1500 to put together everything brand new
cams n gears- i'd go hks 264s n some ATS adjustable gears.
fuel-cheapest and good quality is spped-source.net lines, fpr, n rail. then get some precision 1000s.
intercooler- i suggest building your own a2w or tmic
intake manifold- get a used rmr off the forum
fuel pump- walbro 255 will be enough
msd coil- stock coil starts to struggle up top. mine was breaking up at 422whp.
gauges- good wideband n boost gauge
you'll prolly want a stronger clutch too.

this is my basic setup for all the major parts. i'm making 450whp and have hks 272s in my motor, everything else stock. on racegas setup is good for close to 600.

u want the fastest way and most reliable for ur money let me know ive built alot of 3sgte so its not some bull**** from the person with one car who reads everyone else ****....

quick to 400

turbo and everything along with it waste gate piping new intercooler
86lb or bigger injectors with top feed and u shoudl run 2 255 walbros the cheap way but becareful they fail all the time... better off buying a cell from hux and a a1ooo
stinger EMS cheapest and best dont waste ur time on apexi bull**** itll never down right right and ur lucky if it dont blow
stock botom nd is cool with cp pistons and arp studs...
head is good cams ull wanna go atleast 264 and the springs and retainers.....
that clutch is not gonna last u long
ur gonna ned CV's
and ur gonna need to go thru the tranny and a LSD

ill put up some pics if u want some.... not gonna put my numbers down but will give u my build sheet to what u need the eaiset way to make tpower and be able to hold it..... and running 1 255 is not smart considering if u check it they start to struggle around 350... made that mistake a few times.... and u can run a side mount.... i make more power then probably everyone on this side mount.....

^^ i call bs. a single 225 has been proven many times over for 500+whp. I'm not having a single issue at 450whp. i'd do an a1000 but the 255 will support 400whp fine and there's no need to do a cell for a a1000.
bottom end doesn't need pistons either. stock hold fine as long as its got a decent tune. I'm not sayin based on what i've read, I'm saying based on what i've done. car has been pushed HARD and not an issue other than the occasional rotor/cap going out.

powerfc is junk i agree. either go aem, motec, or hydra imo.

sidemounts are junk. try out a a2w or tmic. sidemount used to heat soak soooo fast. now with a tmic AIT's after an hr of driving, both cruising and boosting, are just over ambient temp.

If the guy's trying to keep costs down he could just plug in water/meth injection for a few hundred bucks.

Just get a Gen3, bolt on an EMSPowered turbo kit, intercooler, and exhaust. Set it to 17psi. And make 320-350rwhp all day long and call it a day.

That's around 400-430hp at the motor.
