JDM 3SGTE

quick question. the 90-93 3SGTE... what about the JDM model gives it 25 more hp then the US model? is it a physical part? or tuning in the ECU?

From what i know the only difference is a lack of EGR and a different ecu on the jdm model.

ok well i had a 92 US motor. and i bought a 90-93 JDM motor. not sure specific year motor (JDM) but one quick one is... is there a difference in sensors on the motor? will my US harness have all the JDM sensors? i mean i know there is a diff O2 sensor and what appears to be EGT at the bottom of the cat on the JDM motor....

Basically im asking what do i need to do to plug my US harness to the JDM motor?

Depending on which revision motor it is your usdm harness may or may not be plug and play. Easiest way to check is just plug in the jdm ecu with your usdm harness and see if the car starts.

92 USDM is equivalent to a Rev1 JDM. Rev1 is 90-91 and Rev2 is 92-93. "90-93 JDM motor" spans that entire range.

Sensors are the same between USDM and JDM. Sensors are different between Rev1 and Rev2.

If you have bought a Rev1, USDM '92 harness should plug up fine. If you bought a Rev2, you will need to transfer over all of your electrical accessories off your old motor, onto your new one.
