will a supra ct26 fit on a 91 turbo? a friend of mine has one and since my turbo went out i was wondering if it is a direct bolt on.

The turbine housing has a circular inlet that will need to be ported out into a square inlet, the bolt pattern for the downpipe is completely different, you'll need to re-clock the turbo by removing the dowl pines in the housings, and I don't think that the turbo support bracket bolts up either...
So no, not a direct bolt on ![]() |

Its a direct bolt on for the exhaust manifold (the entry port is different size and shape - the MR2 one being square and divided, the Supra one being round)- the bolts line up, but the exhaust side uses a different elbow, and downpipe, so that wont work without custom fab.
You can frankenstein the guts and compressor wheel of that turbo onto the exhaust housing of the MR2 and make it bolt on. Its not the best thing to do IMO tho. It wont get you much power, and youll lose spool. |
