It was NA before so the cable is not against the Exhaust Cable. The intake manifold allows for the installation to be as is. It places less strain on the cable.

I really like the way it sits in that engine bay... moves more of the weight away from the rear and towards the middle of the car. You should let us know if you notice that making a difference.

jrmr291 did you use a 3rd gen water neck and 3rd gen t-stat?
Also did you replace the timing belt on this? If so did you also replace the water pump and tensioner? And are they the same as the gen3 water pump and tensioner? Lastly I see you relocated the alternator, did you just use the gen2/gen3 bracket? And where did you find a belt to fit the custom setup? Sorry for all the questions, I'm doing this swap in the next month and a half and I want to be as prepared as possible. Last edited by 2fast4u; 04-08-2010 at 07:25 PM.. |

Awesome I really could use the help haha.
Did you use the 3rd gen water neck and thermostat for the cooling system? You swapped all the pulleys? Even the crank pulley? Seems like alot of work. Why not put the alternator in the 3rd gen spot and find a belt to match? |

By the way I looked through your pictures and saw the coolant neck your gen 4 came with and it's definitely not what's on the motor now. Is it from a gen3 3sgte or a beams engine?

Haha thanks man. The pics definitely help.
Did you use the 3rd gen thermostat too or the gen4? I wasn't sure if they were the same or not. Also how did you address the fuel line routing? Last edited by 2fast4u; 04-16-2010 at 04:55 PM.. |

well i had to do a little DIY.. i took the fuel lines from the filter to the rail that i had spare and made a line that will fit the fuel rail with the 90º fuel lines ends "forgot the name" .. tomorrow i would take pics of the lines and a better description on how i did it. but i could say this save money and make it in braid lines with the adapters and it be way better,,... |
