93n/a body harness to gen 3 ecu

what have the rest of you doneive got 6 of the 12 wires off the harness figured out from the resources i was given.

few quick questions
did you cut the end off of a turbo body harness and spice it together? if not how did you do it
do i need the warning lights

http://www.mrtwo.net/mr2modproject/g...ECUPinOuts.xls <<using this as a reference next to the 93 bgb wiring diagrams ive figured this out so far

12-1 through 12-12 is representing the pins in the 93 na body harness connector

12-1 should be in position 22-13
12-2 should be in position 22-1
12-4 should be in position 22-14
12-8 should be in position 22-5
12-11 should be in position 22-9
12-12 should be in position 22-2

can some one double check me on these and add some more info if they can if you neeed a scan of the 93 n/a wiring harness at the connector to the ecu let me know

bad news:
almost every bolt on the down pipe broke when trying to remove
tried to start the car starter works motor turns over but will not start so trouble shooting is in order.

good news:
i was lucky enough to find a downpipe from one of my firends
nothing seems to be leaking
im almost done
the starter works!

theories as to why its not running:
possibly incorrect wiring(doubt able but im going to go through all of it again)
fuel pump not working correctly
no spark

btw having your car dangling 5 feet in the air is very nerve wrecking

The stock downpipes on the MR2's are sturdy, but as you noted, the bolts break off very easily, expecially the smaller ones.

If you have no spark and your injectors ar enot firiing then its usually the connection between the distributor and the ECU

honestly could have saved alot of headache and hassel by getting a gen3 body harness for the swap you got. now having a hacked up harness will make troubleshooting that much more "fun"

Stephen, if you need a gen3 body harness let me know. I think I should have 2 that are still available. I'll be back in town tomorrow and can check to make sure.

Yup, I keep telling people it's really not that difficult. It's just a matter of getting in there and doing it. Let me know how it goes and if you need anything or have any questions. I just got back into town today.
