help check engine light keeps going on and off

the check engine light keeps going on and off and when its on i keep pulling the same codes it says 43 and 71 43 is the starter code and 71 is egr code??? and ideas why its happening?

Code 71 is the egr temp sensor. Check the wiring to the sensor or replace it.
Code 43 indicates the lack of the STA signal to the ecu. Consult page FI-44 of the bgb for the troubleshooting procedure.
Does the starter turn when activated?

yea the car runs and starts fine nuthin is really wrong i think but it just keeps going on for a while then randomly turns off

Dude, no offense, but this is the internet and nobody here can do anything more than point you in the right direction. If you don't know to troubleshoot this problem, take it to a shop.

When my check engine light kept going on and off in my Tacoma, it was the O2 sensor.
