NoVA Swap question?

So...I am going to be doing my Gen 3 swap here very soon. I am pretty confident with everything except the wiring...anyone know of any shops in the NoVA area what would be a good place to take the car if the wiring just totally stumps me? Or anyone in VA that wouldn't mind helping me out a bit with the wiring? LOL

I should have my clip by late May to early June (crosses fingers)

Contact Justins311 on the board and other mr2 board. I don't know if any shops in the MD/VA/DC area that could help (reliably) you.

awesome. Ya, I should have my clip very soon. I'm at about 2500 saved up so far and i'm working 6 days a week working my ass off lol. I've even calmed my drinking down a bit to get some more income coming in =(

I have a quick question for anyone here..And i know this is going to sound stupid. I pulled off the back interior piece behind the seats to uncovering more of the wiring with my thinking that the engine and body harness were two different pieces. I saw nothing that disconnected anywhere. There anywhere in paticiular that i need to cut the harness to drop the engine, or should i leave it complete and just unhook everything from my N/A engine and just leave it in the car for now? Waiting on the rain to clear up and a 32mm socket to break the axles free and then i'm just about done with the old engine drop!(after i figure out the wiring that is)

i have a body harness that has been customized to work with for a genIII if you want it. it was off my 92t but like i said, it was converted to genIII. the engine harness should come with the motor.

there are two harnesses. the engine harness starts at the ecu and connects everything in the engine bay and finishes at the fuse box. the body harness stretches from the kick panel on the drivers feet all the way to the ecu (with a pit stop at the fuse box).

You should save a bit more than 2.5k for a swap for misc. parts and things you need.

ya, I'm aware. The clip i was looking at was 3000 plus shipping (guessing around 500-700) Going to get the clip ordered and save up some more cash before it gets here since it'll take 2-3 weeks if not longer if they have to import more from japanland.

With my working in the resturant buisness, I make pretty good cash and it all being in hand when i walk out without having to wait for a paycheck.

Never said i was anywhere close to being done with saving cash for the swap. I am quite aware of the costs of this swap as I have done a good amount of research. But 2500 is what i have in the bank so far and it's still rising on a daily basis.
