Is anyone here in omaha Nebraska. Im looking to buy an mr2 turbo for under 3 grand. I know im asking for a miracle. It has to be in good running condition and nothing that would cost me a fortune to fix. Please post pics. My mk1 mr2 recently broke down and need a new car! and ive had my sights on an mr2 turbo. Or looking for a 3sgte engine with trans, ecu, and with wire harness. Of course with the turbo on it too.

Hope you're gettin' your prayers out there man because you surely are asking for a miracle.

Decent Mk II turbos run ~$6k and even engine swapping na to turbo will run you ~$3k. I would be highly suspicious of anyone that offered a Mk II Turbo for $3k and said it's in good condition (and not stolen).

On the other hand, you can find a good condition NA for that price.

I have seen a couple. I've seen one in craigslist, but he wont reply to my calls. Ive left him messages and emails, but still no response. Im not sure if its turbo though. Hes kinda close to omaha. 91 mr2 mtr swap $3200!!

That car screams "stay away" if you're looking for a car you dont' want to have to do a lot to.

1. He's driving it hard enough to be hitting stuff in the winter.
2. Says that he has/had damage then doesn't show pics of it? Not encouraging
3. No latch on the trunk and he just leaves it? Weak
4. He's done a bunch of body mods, this means you need to look carefully for damage that may have been covered up as well as problems that may come from bad fitment/installation.
5. He's got a DVD player in his dash?? This means that the wiring harness may be compromised.

Not to say that it's not worth taking a look at but this has all the hallmarks of a car that will need attention to be made right.

I had to learn these lessons the hard way and I'm happy to help others avoid my mistakes.

Always assume that sellers are out to screw you. People that are otherwise largely honest will hold their tongues and hope you don't notice some huge problem with the car.

hate to bump, but im an hour from omaha, i had my white one posted and was willing to take 2500 new jdm 2nd gen swap in a 91t model, just needed the rack n pinion, but i fell back in love and decided to keep
