Downpipe install

Trying to get my 3" EMSpowered downpipe installed on a 91T.

Anyone near Chicago do any side jobs? Willing to lend a hand? Know of any shops in the area that can do it for a reasonable price?

The bolts for the cat stay are pretty rusted on. Soaking them with PB for a day didnt really do much. The b-pipe bolts have already been broken loose, its just the cat stay bolts giving me the trouble.

Let me know and we can work something out.

try more PB blaster, some heat, and if you can get ahold of one, an impact wrench. If those 3 combine don't move it...then you better have a direct line to jesus cause that's the only way it's gunna move lol.

well theres no way to get in there with an impact wrench, theres just no room.

On the passenger side, I could get a good hold of it with the ratchet/socket, but if I gave it any more force, it felt as if it were starting to round off, so i stopped.

on the driver side, with the motor mount in the way, only a 12point box wrench could fit. i didnt have enough leverage to move the nut.

i was hoping someone local would be willing to help me out, so i dont dig myself into a hole i cant get out of.

i wonder if I could somehow unbolt the stay from the other end of the bracket that bolts to the block. That would definately be a ton easier if I somehow could get there from the top.

i used a combo wrench on both 6 pt. 6 pt has way less chance of rounding it if you have to wrench on it hard...if you need more leverage combine 2 combo wrenches ya know......liek put the box end on the bolt.....then hook the other part onto the box end of the other wrench making it twice as long.
