Car Meet / BBQ in S.E MI on July 13th

I posted this on Xceed Speed forums also, so I would love to extend the invite.

Myself along with a few friends of mine are getting together a car meet/BBQ/Cookout in Monroe, MI. Below are the details:

Date: Sunday July 13th, 2008

Time: Noon-6p.m. or whenever you want to leave (Park closes around 10 or 11 I think)

Location: Sterling State Park
Address: 2800 State Park Rd. Monroe, MI 48162

There is a $6 dollar fee per vehicle to enter the park. There is a beach on Lake Erie, pavilions, picinic tables, boat launch, and grills in the park for us to use. Dogs are allowed. There is a "nature walk"/bike trail you can enjoy as well. There will be no free food, drinks, prizes, etc. This is gonna be a fun time to hang out, meet fellow Xceeders, check out cars/bikes, and grill up some food. The parking lot is huge. Go on the web site and pull up the map. Once you enter the park, you will drive up to a small post where you will pay the $6. Then continue on curving to your right and passing the boat launch on your left. The next lot on the left is where we will meet. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

I got a black 94', and I think there is one other going to be there. I'll keep an eye out for you.

Sweet. I didn't really want to be the only 2 owner going. Otherwise I will just show up and not know anyone and be like... "so you have an import too. Cool."

I'm that other one 2 that will be there. I live up in canton and i have a black 91... i'm trying to get it running right.. but i should be able to make it. if i don't bring the 2 ( which i hope dose not happen) I'll bring my tbss

If it rains, I will definitely not be able to go. My tires are bald in the rear now, and I don't like driving with bald tires in the rain.

Do either of you guys AutoX? I have been going to the local club events, and I am the only MR2 there.

i haven't gone to any yet.. i was gonna try n go to some this summer.. but one thing led to another with my car and now im jus spending alota time fixing it up just to get it drivable.

wow this sounds awesome, ill see what i can do its kind of a drive from grand rapids after the 8 hours im driving from the UP that weekend but ill see what i can do

It might be easier to meet up somewhere first then cruise in together.

I am going to be there early to help set up, It's me and a few others who set this up/ are coordinating it. Its easy to get to from I-75, and mapquest will lead you right in. What color is your '2?

It was nice seeing all of you again...sorry to have to rain on the parade with the evo. It was so much fun to drive though I could not pass up the oportunity to drive that beast. YOu have to admit that I looked hot in it and I can drive her pretty damn good too. LOL j/k about the hot part
