Spotted white MKII on Lake Cook Rd
Was about 7:15 AM today. Just felt like calling that out, was trying to catch up but too damn slippery and just wasn't going to risk an accident.

What's up Gairloch. I'm up in Riverwoods IL right now and been here since September but working late so I didn't want to bother you guys with questions about meets if I couln't come anyway. I'm here every week, usually Monday through Thursday and then go home for the weekend. You guys meet often? If you all meet during the week then I can see what day I can get out early. Although with all of this god damn snow I can't see anyone wanting to do anything.

In the northern states it's a matter of deal with the snow and do your thing or spend 6 months going stir crazy inside. Here in MN we don't meet all that often, once every few months usually.

Yeah, my first time up in the mid-west was in September of 2005, and until then I had no idea it could snow in October. I lived in NY for 11 years, but you guys have some sick ass cold up this way that makes NY seem like its tropical at times. I should be here until end of March, so keep me in th loop if you guys meet up for anything. Of course I don't have my MR2 up this way but I am buying a car tomorrow that I'll be driving up here instead of renting every week...and it's a 1990 Celica so at least it's still a Toyota.

Yup, this is my 4th time in IL in the last 4 years. Keep getting contracts up this way, maybe I should just move here?
I'm in Riverwoods which is just outside of Chicago, Lake Cook Rd exit off I94 (near Northbrook). This damn snow better not cause my flight to be canceled tonight, almost happened to me on Christmas eve, but I was one of the lucky ones to still make it out of O'Hare that night. I think were even in for more snow tonight through tomorrow night. |
