Just wanted to see if there were any other mr2 owners close to Indy who meet up and what not, and if not if anyone wanted to.

Later in the summer and into the fall there will be meets near Columbus OH
im not far from indy and my mk1 is about done. i might meet up some day.
Where in Indy are you? I'm in the 86th & Ditch Rd area. I have an '03 Spyder and a friend in the Castleton area has an '04. There is a MKII owner in New Castle and the 3 of us, with our wives, got together for a short drive-n-eat last month...we're all old farts though, just to warn you.![]()
That sounds like fun my wife and I live on the Southside of Indianapolis we normally have our weekends free I am 30 she is 27 we are not age discriminators lol. Just keep me in the loop.
As you know, pm's are being exchanged. If you'd like to "meet" two other MR2 couples, click the link(scroll down a bit, I'm on the left in the group pic...); MR2 Owners Club Message Board™
Make that the "RIGHT"![]()

I'm an old fart too. I'm 32 and my girlfriend is 27. We both live in Coatesville, IN and both own MK1 MR2s. We actually have 3 MK1s. We have a 1987 T-Bar, a 1988 Sunroof parts car and a 1989 Sunroof. I bought the 1988 parts car for $700, drove it home and found out the frame was completely rotted out. We then found the 1987 for her that was an Arizona car and is in excellent shape. I found the 1989 with a blown motor and swapped in from the 1988 car. I drive mine 120 miles round trip a day from Coatesville to Fishers, and she does about 50 out to Pittsborro. We both owned gas guzzlers so we picked these up to drive until the motors blow and then they are getting converted over to electric. I work with electric vehicles for a living. Any how I had a 1987 CRX in high school and always longed for a MR2. Then I found mustangs and got into that. I owned a 1990 aniversary stang, a 1993 cobra that I should have never sold, and now I'm driving a 05 GT with some mods. Only problems with mustangs is they are fun in straight lines, but the cornering has never been great with the solid live axles. My cobra was the most fun and I use to road course race it. Then I bought the 05 and I have never had a car I didn't feel comfortable cornering until now. The car is a beast. So that brings us back to the MR2. Best driving car I've ever owned, and filling up under $20 is the best feeling in the world. I'm keep the miles off my Mustang, having fun, and saving a ton of money on gas and insurance. Life couldn't get better. If you all want to meet up sometime and play some shuffle board or bridge (like all old people do) let me know.
Got your PM, I'm down for a drive. Not sure which MK1 I'll bring, either the Kyrlon mobile, or the T-Bar. Depends on the weather and mechanical ability. LOL You might be shocked how the Krylon mobile does around the corners.![]()
