Question and more....

Hello guys!
It's Jay F., the fella that got his MR2 from his father in-laws auto salvage yard.
A month or so ago, I was driving at 25mph, and the drivers side axle seperated from the tranny! I had the car on flat bed in no time and home up on stands.
5 bolts were missing. Not sheared off, not broken. Missing. I have never had that many bolts just vibrate out. Is it normal? I also need to order new bolts. Any one know what I might need to look for when I take the last bolt out? (wich is hanging literaly, by a thread) I am a bit nervous about damage to the tranny. I had some fluid leak out, but could not see from what, or where.
As some know, the car is a 1991 Mk II Turbo. I have had this car for close to 5 years now. Yes, I pulled it from my father in-laws auto yard. The previous owner had run in a curb, and ripped out the driver side front wheel and most of the suspension. He junked it.
I was going to post on the large Mr2 site, but wanted to ask my fellow East coasters first.
Also, is any one aware of what other Toyota's might cross with this car?
I love the car, would hate to part with it.
On an Up Note!...a friend of mine just bought the same car, color red!, off Ebay! So now there are two, that I am aware of, red Turbo 91's in Southern Maine! (think Kittery for those that know the area)
Thank you for any input folks!

Jay Ferrelli---Maine 91 MR2 T owner
