so i found a whole 3vz-fe for 650. and a 1mz out of a 99 solara for about the same.
after reading the 3vz seems pretty reliable. hows the 1mz? which is easiest to swap? ive been researching like crazy but you guys know best BTW ITS NICE TO HAVE INTERNET AGAIN HAHA. but now i dont need anything 5s related. think its worth to try to fix the 5s with a new rod and sell it, or just sell it as is with the bad rod stud? ive also got the SSAC headers and B pipe. also the nicely routed air intake piping. as well as 2 n/a mufflers and 1 turbo muffler. suggestions? 3vz would be easiest. You can use yr stock trans/axles. 3vz camry flywheel. You'll need a dash harness or the dash harness connectors that go to the computer. All the engine electronics ie: igniter, maf, alternator, O2s.
FYI: I'm gonna be outta town this weekend so if anyone needs anything, hit me up before friday. Nice find Seth, damned I'm jealous, hah. |

Thats why I never mentioned it to anyone over the weekend
yeah it is a killer deal just need to work out the paper work stuff. I figured I'd do a auto-x build/DD out of it and do mine into more of how your's is but not as extreme. If it works for your schedule maybe next week we could fart around on the wiring part of it. Supposedly it does run or did until some wires fried....but all in all not to bad.I figured I'd do some urethane bushings on it and some koni's with a ST front sway bar and other than that and the brake system call it good. |
