got the day off today so I'll give you a ring. I saw this today RPM Garage kind of ugly as **** but the idea looks pretty easy to do. I think this weeks going to be slow work wise so I'll be at the shop for the most part.

so leng I think I might get that turbo motor off of you. still have to have shithead come up with the title but if that happens then I'd pick it up. I kind of want to finish up the V6 thing first if possible so it may be a few months down the road.

A inquiry from a JETHRO from Hillybillyville (Roseburg) 200 miles south of Portland . . . . .
Does anyone in this group have any leads on finding a C-60 6 speed tranny out of a Corolla GTS years 00 to 05? My homework says the weight reduction achieved and reduced rotating mass should make my 4agze significantly quicker. |

I just hit the carpart.com link you provided. I've found a bazillion corolla transmissions there. But none were clearly identified as six speed units. Evidently the 6 speeds are rare beasties indeed.
But I've noticed junkyard employees are generally not Mensa club, Ivy league graduate types. I've gone on many 100 plus mile trips to find that the junkyard didn't actually have what they said they had. They said they were sorry, but Cleetus, Zebediah, Buford, or Cooter got it wrong again. Oh well, there's no urgency. I'll just keep scanning the net for a rare piece of luck. I just figure I'd get almost 40 more VIRTUAL ponies by swtiching to a six speed. You know Virtual: due to weight reduction and reducing rotating mass. I figure I'd throw in a Fidanza Alum. flywheel when I did the swap. Also, I'd get back the handling that my old 87 N.A. had. Thanks for the pointer though. Last edited by Jackstand Queen; 01-06-2009 at 06:44 PM.. Reason: grammar error |

may want to consider a 93+ master cylinder as well but it's a lot of $$$ usually they have them on the "other" board as well as RPM Garage but shipping is a lot because it's from japan.
