Got your axles seals replace and axles/suspension bolted in seth. Looks like the short flexpipe pieces should work.
Here's something interesting I came across. YouTube - Aerodynamics of a racing car (CFD results) |

Congrats on the sale. I know where there is this white na you can try and get. Not sure if it's still up for grabs cause the current owner has no title for it. Think it'll be real easy for you to find though.
I don't have friday off so same as usual for me. Vince is talking bout going to the drags to run his car again. |

I would like one, but I am thinking more along the lines of S2000 or Supra MK4 or 02-04 Z06 Vette... just saving up the dollars now... There are many cars right now that are tempting me, but i am going to hold out for a car i really want... Saving all the pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters I can...

Hey guys, I almost have my car back together finally. It's been a long time coming. Hope you all have been well.
Vince, I got the BOV cover taken care of. I used paint stripper to strip the clear (HKS uses crappy clear, came off in less then 10 seconds), then sanded the scratches out re-polished it up better than it was new. Then I had a powder coater shoot clear powder on it instead of doing clear paint, since it's more durable. Thanks for the advice, it looks good again. I have to fab up one more bracket for the catch can, then polish it out, then get a longer hose for the valve cover to catch can, then I should be close to done. I bleed the cooling system today. Hopefully I got all the air out, there was a ton. Took forever. I had to put the KO AFM intake pipe on too I bought awhile ago, as the stock elbow was cracked a little. Had to fab up a pair of brackers and polish them out, then use the afm adapter and K & N filter. Too care of that the other day. It's almost drivable, so I'll have to head down and visit soon. I have a question though. I hear a hissing when the engine is running. When I cranked the motor and went back to the bay while idling, I hear a loud hissing sound. Sounds like it's coming from the throttle body/Intake Manifold area. Could be the valve cover, hard to tell. Any ideas? Could my IAVC be going bad and case it, worn throttle? I read in the No Shoes boost leak tester thread the fuel rail grommets and intake manifold gasket can leak, I'm guessing that could case the sound. I'm thinking I need to do another boostleak test. Do we have a boost leak tester that fits a CT26 at the shop group, or do I need to make/buy one? Any other ideas on finding the hissing other than the boostleak tester and the old spraying carb cleaner trick? Could the coolant blowing on the BOV have ate the inside seals like it did the clear? I'd hate to think I need a whole new BOV, but the hissing is loud enough I had a problem pinning it down tonight. The hissing sound is pretty bad. Leng, for your next car I vote Z06 Vette first, then MKIV Supra. If anyone needs their car buffed out, let me know, and I can bring the rotary/pads/compound down to the shop group one of the weekends to do it. |

I can't make it down this week, a friend is taking me and my wife to the coast for a late bday present and then I'm having a late birthday bbq party here at the house probably Friday (if any of you guys want to come to that call me and let me know). Then Saturday it's off to Seattle for a car show followed by a BBQ put on by some friends up there, so this week is loaded. I can do it any time next week, so let me know when is good for you ![]() |

Bah, why is it that once you decide to fix something you find other stuff that needs fixing too. I'll try and fix 5th gear in your trans today Seth. You might want to pick up another petcock for your radiator if you want to completely seal off that tiny leak. I'll check on some aftermarket slim fans, 12 inch. and an oil cooler.
