how much are you offering? I may not need two, though I'd like to keep the 93 cause it still has the ring gear on it.

Zai, which fly wheels will work with the 5VZ? I know a solara will... Will the 5VZ bolt up to the turbo tranny?

Guys sorry I was not able to make it down on Sat. Very busy with kids games and last min. things to get done.

The Go-pro cam is in my desk at the house. Leng if you have the time, call the house and (I know I'll text you the #) pick it up if you need it. I know that Sath will want to use it while I'm gone. I told Cheryl where it was and that you would come get it sometime.

Zai, I'm sorry that I will not be ablt to wire the shop for you and your folks. I was looking forward to doing it. I'll do what I can when I get back. DON"T THROW OUT MY POWDER COAT STUFF!!! please

I talk to you all on the boards as much as I can.

TTFN
Vince

Hope things go well for you while you are away, Vince. Good luck man! If you can keep posting on the forums and hit me up on email to keep us posted.

DB: 3vz camry flywheel bolts right up, no spacers, no odd bolts. 5vz bolts right up to the e153, we did it in the 5vz mr2 we built for Leng that he sold. You use the stock starter. We custom made a bracket to hang the carrier bearing mount which doubled as an engine mount. Interestingly enough, this allowed me to use the 3vz truck series of clutches, which may be the same as the turbo mr2 and supra clutches( not 100% sure). So we use Luk ProGold 3vz truck clutch, which supposedly is 30% higher clamping force, since i get the kit for about $200. You will need the release bearing that goes with the trans. but the disc in the Progold kit seems to work with the e153. Otherwise if you use a s54 you need an s54 disc.

Pics of Leng's 5vz swap, under Leng Xiong: http://mouabros.com/gallery2/main.php

Look through the pics.

Thanks for the pic link. Will need to get under mine and see how the carrier bearing is held...
If the 5VZ bolts up, then a light weight 5vz fly wheel will work. which release bearing? I was getting confused, and my lack of mechanical knowledge is showing.

The weather here seems more like Portland right now, so I can't touch anything. It keeps raining.

You need to use the release bearing of the transmission that you are using. If you are using a 5sfe/s54 transmission then you need that one. If you using a 3sgte/e153 transmission then you need that one. As far as the lightweight flywheel goes, haven't tried one on a 5vz but Seth had one in his SC 1mz mr2 and it didn't last too long. Course that's his driving style, unless you have some type of high power high rpm engine build, I personally would opt to keep the mass of the flywheel. Had a 5vz and 3vz flywheel one time and it seemed to me the 3vz one was lighter.

I think that a Lightened 5vz Flywheel, would kinda be a waste considering the revs of the 5vz...

Wow John, you get to see all the good stuff!

So Leng, Seth and I were having this debate. He says the 93 lsd is his. I said, I thought you gave him the trans, but when we swapped the lsds you gave the stock 93 one to me. I know John wants ones of them.
