well no more lotus, hit a patch of ice right by zai shop, it totaled but I walked away. vice if I was superstitious I'd say your jinxed me and you suck but I'm not and you dont suck. think my ego gout bruised pretty good, I'm ok pretty bruised up and my middle finger finger nail popped off and got some scorch marks from the air bag. nothing broken. Dont think I'll be getting another car soon, kept on thinking what aspects on the mr2 I liked more than it still was a very nice car but hey **** happens and I'm ok

The Lotus is pretty much totaled. Everything from the dash forward is messed up. I was surprised when we arrived on the scene to see how bad the damage was. Very relieved that Seth was able to walk away without any serious injuries. I don't think Lotus designed that car to be wedged up underneath a semi trailer through a fence. Thank god it was the pass front that went in first and stopped the car. Looking at the damage, you can see how much of the body panels are composite. I think the MR2 would've taken the hit better, even though it prob would have been totaled too. I didn't feel that it was appropriate to take pics but the car is sitting in my shop now if any of you guys want to come by and look. I'm very thankful that Seth is alright and you guys should be too. It was a nice car, but it did it's job and Seth is still feeling bad about it.

yeah feel pretty sore today and still somewhat of a dumbass, the car was designed pretty well for such a small car. the front incorporates a carbon fiber crashbox which takes up a lot of the impact, not to F1 standards but the idea is their. Actually I have taken the skid car coarse a few years back, but I think given the amount of actual traction once I was off the ice their wouldent be much of a way out of the situation. I didnt put on the breaks or do sudden changes to the gas or steering wheel. the car was very stable but basically seemed to understeer, I looked where i wanted to go but maybe I was looking more at the semi than the stratght part of the road.
Anyways yeah it sucks but all in all I'm ok, just bruised up and sore. Zai I'll give you a call in a little bit, called up insurance but just got their message machine. I'd like to get it towed somewhere else once they figure out whats what so it isnt another engine Sorry about the whole tow thing. if it's any consolation I waited 8 hours to get my finger nail pulled off and stitched up, guess about 4-7 people died that day in the hospital, kind of a ****ty day all in all. |

Not very good pics. Should've taken day time pictures. I've got too many project MR2's to be looking for another one.
