Hey leng you said you have a few lines on some SR20's right? are they all red tops or do you have any black tops? My dads thinking about doing a swap cus the stock motor sucks (mostily because it's a auto) it wouldent be right away but if you have some ideas on price that would be great.
You guys really missed out on the event, I know their is the ocean shores one comming up but I think with my work scedual I wont be at that one. other than that we need to start to get going on the beat the heat project by the end of this month if we really want to get things in gear for that. |

Wells, the whole event has gotten me thinking I should try and concentrate on making project91( or Tink as everyone else knows it, damned) streetable next year. Looks like i will prob be working towards fabricating the body this winter. Hopefully have wheels and tires and suspension before next spring. I think the "2 the beach " event is already scheduled, but I will prob not make it this year due to the projects piling up in the shop.
I was thinking I should have asked Leng to come be my test driver, given how much stuff we had to fix and adjust on my car, eh Vince? haha. As I mentioned to everyone I met at the meet: Even if you are not local or dont have the time to make it down to the workshop, please post here in this thread instead of just reading it! C'mon peeps, that's how we get to know each other, hah. |

waddup! that was me with the vids! I should have gotten more interesting shots but was workin' on no sleep on account of arriving 1am sunday morning and sleeping atop a picnic table. "Sleeping" meant cowering in fear from the rabid dogs barking all night and not knowing, because it was pitch dark, that we were mostly fenced in! YOU WIMPS! It's morefunner to camp out at the track and have a powwow all night...where was everyone?!?!?!?!? The rabid dogs don't bite!!! Anyway, I had a blast even though I didn't do much but sleepwalk around the "paddock" wondering what I was doing at a porsche convention. Damn dogs. Next year, I'm bringing a garden hose as a shower. Wow, a 50 second autox...could have had this meet at malibu grand prix and no one's the wiser. Anyone wanna have a meet there? These "karts" are midengine too! You can even bring Tinkle!
Zai, you gotta move your shop to Oregon City or somewhere central! Your shop is faaaaaaaarrrr out there. Tualitan! KO's there! You freakin' live in Canby! look at the commute time you'd save. Oh, I think i'm gonna find a bummed out mki and cut big holes out all over it and tow it behind my turbo next year...should give me a big weight advantage after I replace all the panels with cardboard and tape to pass tech. dangit! should have done this before I cut up my old mki and took it to the scrappers. Where the heck is Summer, we need to start working on designs for a body for project91.
On a side note, think another dyno day is being planned. Looks like August 26 at the same place in Oregon City. I'll let you guys know more when i get details. If anyone is interested, we are planning to go down to PIR tomorrow night for fun. |

Got the replacement ring in. I will be down either tomorrow or the next day to fit them, install the rods and pistons, and bolt the head down tight. =)

if that isnt motivation to get your butt down to the shop then I dont know what is
nothing too new on my end, no real set date to get going on the beat the heat project but hopefully by october or something. When ever I get a day off I figure I'll deq the car so I can get the set of headers made for the car down the road. our thought is that the one on it now is so restrictive that with the SC it backs up...seems to make sense with 2 1/4" exhaust pushing 7lbs through the system. |

So Mark and Chris came by the other day. Very nice to see you guys again.
I'm currently very busy with customer work. But we are still having a lot of fun, haha. Havent seen Dylan in awhile so the " Beat the Heat " project is kinda in limbo till he gets back, slacker, haha. Looks like it's gonna be a busy weekend. Everyone is welcome to come by and join the crowd. Last edited by mr2greasemonkey; 08-11-2006 at 02:04 AM. |

Hey Guys, Just checking in. I'm in Waubay, South Dakota right now working on a friend's computer. Just overclocked a P4 2.66ghz computer to 4.2ghz and have it running and stable. Trying to get the watercooling dialed in. We just got here from a week and a half in Pembina, North Dakota, and a few days fishing up in the Northwest Angle (Farthest North point in the continental US) up in Minnesota. Almost got hit by an F3 tornado, and have survived a couple big thunderstorms with the worst having golf ball to baseball sized hail. Luckily my friends have a big barn for me to stash the 2 in. Won't be back till next week sometime, but I'll get that video all edited up - got a lot of it, unfortunately, someone rewound the camera to watch some video and didn't set it back between filmings, and all the great video I got from the poker run got overwritten.

Fark man I hardly kow where I am let alone when I am getting back. Vanessa and I just built a 10 X 20 addition for her parents. We hoped it would take 2 weeks. 6 weeks later it's done enough. Now her parents are buying an office building in town and want us to remodle it for them. They also want us to do some more work up here on their land. I want to get back to Oregon in a bad way but after being a poor ******* barely getting by for so long it's hard to pass up good money and little overhead. I wanted to be back by this fall but if this project goes through it could be as late as next spring. |

Awww damned the car gods strike again! We've been talkin bout you to everyone that wants some custom fab work done and now you say you aint gonna be back anytime soon. Looks like we gonna be having a steep learning curve. Lots to do for everyone as far as custom bits and pieces, not to mention re-doing most of project91. Anyhow, good to see that you still doing alright, keep us posted on how you two are doing. And say " HI !" to the wife for me, haha.

OMG I have a wife? How come no one told me? Is she imported or USDM? I prefer JDM, the US girls are too big and don't handle as well. Well let me know if you guys have any questions. When you are ready to start some projects get in touch with me and I will try and hook you up with some good resources. |
