So I was talking with zai about it and was wondering when we should do a end of the summer BBQ? I was thinking maybe the 1st or 2nd saturday of october would work. I know a few people have offered to do it at their houses but I figured that if we do it at the shop their is enough parking and everyone all ready knows how to get their. any input?

So after a lot of talking Vanessa and I decided to add another member to our family.
It's an 88 toyota pickup 4X4 5 speed with 220,000 on the truck and "suposedly" 100,000 on the motor. It deffinately needs some love but all in all I think it was worth the $1,400 we got it for and I think it should be fairly reliable too. I have a little problem though. It has no Balls. So naturally I am thinking of strapping on some boost. I am thinking even just 4 psi would give it some more pep and reduce the loss pulling the 10,000 foot passes around here. I don't want to pay for premium though so here's my question. Do you guys think a stock 22RE can take 4ish PSI on low octane gas? Any ideas how much more HP/TQ that would make? Any cheap power/effeciency mods? I will probably do an intake and exhaust before too long. |

So is anyone else from around here going to 2 the Beach next weekend? John (judgeman) and I are all signed up, be nice to meet some PDX people at some point since it seems like every workshop weekend the entire world conspires against me getting up there.

oh heare is that link for the cusco lsd supposibibly it's the RS type (clutch type) and not the MZ (cone type) it's also a 1.5 way which is the shyt. http://mr2oc.com/showthread.php?t=202328 I guess he wants $550 which is still a good deal, I get 30% off of list which new would be about 750ish if I remember right.

Ah... another Saturday is passing by. Just kinda hung out at the shop today with Zai, mopped the floors, and they were dirty... I agree, a shop bbq is totally a great idea. Also, since nobody reads like the first 50 pages of this thread, I think I'm gonna archive it, and make a new sticky. Seem like a good idea?

Either day works fine for me, provided its not Sunday next weekend, or Oct. 8. I have stuff going on already. Also, I just got back from round 7 of the regional ORG/SCCA Rally-X championship, and I just took my first 1st place. The guy that I've been battling for the last few months just got left behind in 3rd. Now I just have to beat him once more to take the championship. Anywho, ya... I'm just kinda excited...

I think I saw Matt in Oregon City this morning. Very clean white MKII.
Keep a look out for turbos people. I need one compatible with my set-up. The Banks one is too big and the other two are too small. The supra one will go towards the Beat the Heat project. Something for a 4.3L-4.5L sized engine. I did the math for it last night, what a friggin headache. And I still need to do the math for the temp. vs. efficiency, soooo boring. Project91 is still running good, hoping to get new wheels for it soon. Jay got his bender assembled so this fall/winter I will prob get my full cage finished, whooopy! |

Hey Seth, what kind of exhaust did you guys have on your WRX? I've been considering givin one of those ebay cheapies a try - the combo that has a stainless uppipe, downpipe, and a full dp back exhaust for only like $350. I've heard some decent reviews, but I have no clue what it sounds like. Any thoughts?
