I think we ran a perrin down pipe, custom pipe from their to a axel back apexi titanum exhaust. invidia makes a really nice setup but it's kind of pricey. perrin isnt too bad. I'd recommend a perin up pipe as well if your in their, maybe hit up www.nasioc.com and look for some deals.

Project Update:
Shimless buckets of various sizes arrived yesterday, and the rest of the head was assembled today. The bottom end was disassembled again, and they needed to do a little bit of line honing to even up the clearances perfectly. Bottom end is fully assembled now, and they are bolting the head on today. I will be stopping by one of these days to pick up the rest of the components to get the cam timing set correctly, according to the specs of Chris K from enginelogics, and then it will be time to pick up the block and get the thing installed! =) |

I will also be down at the drags tonight.
Zai: do you have the equipment to do alignments, or is there a way to do it without equipment? I have almost rid myself of the wobble or "shimmy" in my car and I think all I have left to do is align the thing, but dont want to go have someone do it and half @$$ it. Plus if I have to change the rack again there goes all my money. |

Who else is heading to Ocean Shores, for the "To the Beach" meet today?
Dana and Eric are already on their way. Donna and I are leaving at 1pm. It, and the Medford meet, are the two best meets in the PacNW, IMO. Hope to see lots of you there. Ken |

Are you guys going to Woodburn or to PIR? seems like PIR has been crap for spectating lately... No one ever goes to race. This is however a great way to get tons of runs in, and I would be all about it if my car were up already. =)

we usually just go to PIR for the drags. I'll be their but not runnig tonight. as far as the 2 the beach I dont think anyone from the shop is going simpily because we're all working on our cars or working....it's to bad because yeah other than the medford meet it's about the only other event that's really cool.

How as woodburn? how many cars usually show up to race there? I will probably be at PIR tonight, depending on turnout to do some filming.

paul any idea on when your motor is going to be done? jasons car is going to be in the works now that everything is back and I'd like to be able to have that spot for the beat the heat car to work on.
I dont know what the status on the engine is on that but we should probibly all step and and shell out a couple of bucks for that rather than reilying on one person to float the bill for it. I think thats going to be about the most expensive part for it other than that, maybe some suspention and wheels and tires but most everything should be on hand at the shop or in storage for it. zai I'm sure I'll talk to you tonight at the shop but here is a good link for coilovers on your buddies gs300 http://www.performancecenter.com/homepage/index/ I can get the cusco ones if I call up nukabe but all in all it mayeb be easier and cheep to go throught these guys. I'm planning on buying my self some greddy sides and bomex mirros from them so if your buddie is serious about buying them we should get everything all at once to save on shipping. also lets set the BBQ date for the 7th of october. I should have a few extra bucks in between paying my brother back for those volks so I'll pick up some steak and chicken for the bbq. I was thinking about posting it on the other board but I'll talk with you first about it seeing as it is your shop. Last edited by Seth W; 09-25-2006 at 06:31 PM.. |

Sounds good, yr in charge of the BBQ then, haha.
PIR was pretty empty this saturday, but on the plus side we went to watch big Jim run his suzuki and that thing is a hoot, haha. No power, crappy shifting, no burnouts, slow ass times, but still a lot of fun. |

that could work as well but it all depends on the weather as well generally the farther out in october it is the suckier it tends to be.

Tabors blueprinted the entire engine, line honed a bit due to clearance variations from Paolos, and assembled the entire bottom end. The shimless buckets have been installed, and they are going to start the cam timing process today. Once cam timing is done, and a new waterpump /possibly cam tensioner and idler pulley are installed, it is ready to go!
Fuel pump needs to be installed in my chassis, then its all about bolting the bitch back together. Motor should be ready to pick up at the beginning of next week. =) |

well I'm still debating about buying that 69 roadster, maybe if I can get my payments low enough per week (automatic withdrawl and such) I might just pick it up. finding one without a lot of isses given how old it is, is kind of hard to come by. sooner or later I'd still like to get one. BTW vince did you see this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Datsu...QQcmdZViewItem
