you got me I always thought top speed was around 120-130 for that time, then again I really dont drag much.
so whats the deal with your bbq arangements? I'd still like to do one but if the date gets kicked around too much I really dont want to bother then. I dont see any yays or nays about any set dates other than the ones I suggest. |

Sounds good, I'll mark my calendar. Hopefully it wont rain.
On another note, there's talk of having another dyno day. No set date yet. I'm still looking for a turbo, damned they get expensive. Hey Leng, I need to get that 3vz from John. Someone get a hold of him. |

I saw this on the other board and it looked preaty neat http://mr2oc.com/showthread.php?t=208598 quick ratio steering box conversion for 1st and 2nd gens. My rims showed up today so it's like christmas in october, anyways if someone want to buy my old ones I'm thinking 500...not to bad for rims that you cant get anymore
Also I talked to my bank and I'd be paying under $100 a month for that car, I checked it out more today and decided to get it. Of course it's way too soon to start another project at the shop but luckley jason has the room at his place. Vince if you have some free time this week I'm wondering if I shoot you some cash if you could grab it up for me. it's about a 10min drive away from jasons place. I'll give you a ring about it and such either later today or tomorrow. Other than that I guess the BBQ thing is a go for the 15th of this month. I have to work but will be on by after 3pm. jason has a bbq but if others want to bring one as well that would be great. everyone should bring something if possible. I was thinking about adding a steering quickener to mine. Doesnt seem that hard, I think they have an adjustable one too. |

well I got to waint for all my loan shit to go through so most likeily friday on would seem to be about the best.
I found out with jasons RX7 stuff that in order to have it pass emissions that all the birds nest has to go back in so long story short we should have everything back now to put it all back together. other than that not much new, the new grams lights look really good on the car |

At best Jon's v-6 is a core engine. It'd have to be a good running engine with harness to be worth anything. That's a lot to ask for an engine i'd only pay $50 for, haha. Cams, valve springs and water pump are couple hundred bucks just in labor. I figured if they didnt need the engine they'd give it to me for $50 and we'd fix what was wrong with it and use it for the Beat the Heat car.

hey leng didnt you know someone with a ka24 setup? I was thinking a 20v for the car origonally but the ka makes the same power, is a proven fit and parts are a lot easier to come by.if possible pre obd2 so 90-93 dohc I'd be interested in one with a 5spd and full harness if you or any of your buddies know of one let me know because I'd like to pick one up.
I wont be by the shop today but I'll make a apperance on the weekend. I REALLY have to studyfor my test at work or other wise my boss will kick my ass. Last edited by Seth W; 10-06-2006 at 07:47 PM.. |
