3S-GTE w/ Quaife FS in Eugene
Up for sale:
1991 USDM 3S-GTE (CT26) E153 Transmission with Quaife differential ECU, distributor, igniter, all sensors Complete harness (except for the very end of the battery cables) Both manifolds, fuel rail/injectors, AFM, all intake piping except for the intercooler Both half shafts, both shift cables, OEM BPV with all piping Aftermarket: Quaife ATB (Torsen-II) differential ($1400 new, lifetime warranty) Trueleo 3” straight-through exhaust TopEnd 2.5” downpipe Apexi intake Fidanza flywheel ACT clutch (used but still has a lot of life left) Allen bolts on the valve cover I pulled this engine out of a 1991 MR2 turbo that had been wrecked pretty bad on the front end. The rear of the car was virtually undamaged. I threw the intercooler away because it had a few bent fins and was worthless from the factory. The reason the battery cable was cut is because the front end was crunched enough that I couldn’t get the cable out, but the wiring harness is literally completely intact other than that. I pulled this engine planning on installing it in my 1985 MR2. Up until this point I have been intending to do that, but I’m realizing that I don't have the money or the time or the space to do it, and I won't for years. So, you can be sure that I took care of it when I was pulling it (at least as far as you trust me pulling an engine) since I was intending to keep it. This is virtually everything you need to swap this motor into another MR2. A few months ago I pulled the valve cover and painted it with a black crinkle coat. It looks gorgeous, but hasn’t been powder coated yet. I also have both axles, but one of them has a torn boot and needs to be rebuilt or replaced (can’t remember which one). Also please note I do not have the SW20 fuel pump, air conditioning compressor, or the cruise control actuator. Also, I forgot to mention, I have some brand new Toyota parts for it: New turbo/manifold gasket New TVIS gaskets New valve cover gasket Also as shown in the pics, I've spent some time cleaning up the engine, the alternator and bracket, all of the metal support bars, and the intake manifold(somewhat) have all been cleaned up pretty good. For reference, these prices are for Jarco clips with cut harnesses and no shipping: Gen2 w/out LSD: $2495 Gen2 w/ LSD: $2895 Gen3 w/ LSD: $3695 Located in Eugene, OR just south of campus. I’m asking $2,900. If you're interested but you think that's unreasonable, I'll consider any offer you make, including trades. I will also sell you the exhaust, wiring harness, or any other part off the engine, for $2,900. Give me a call anytime, even late. I’m not in a real hurry to sell but I’m pretty sure that I’m done with it. Call me on my cell phone or e-mail if there’s any questions I haven’t answered here. I’ll also be willing to deliver it as I’m able, but if you are more than 200 or so miles from Eugene you're going to need to arrange to pick it up.
