Have your bro stop by the shop so we can work out a deal... I think I said 350 for the shortblock + head + parts off my spare motors to complete it as needed. For a list: New pistons +1mm New rings New bearings Main line honed Bored +1 mm Crank ground to fit mainline hone. 0 decked block All in all if memory serves I have about 650-700$ into just the short block. So I guess lets work it like this if you guys want the tranny too, come out to my house, pick up the short block + head + engine /w tranny attached, we will call it good at 400$ and that should get you most of the parts you need to reassemble the engine (You'll need the gasket kit and other non-reusable stuff but everything else should swap over.) And then just return whatever you don't need / use. Sound like a plan? Send me a PM here or call me or something. |

yeah I dont think the clutch is going to like that...but it's too good to pass up.
I think were going to the shop today anyways, we got those tabs for the front sway bar today so we can slap that in at the very least. I'll make sure to mention that to him. Also for anyone else, does anyone have a turbo tranny? a buddy from my old shop is looking for a solara tranny if possible but anything 91T+ would work. |

Hey hey hey... I found the thread! Just thought I'd check in. Stopped by the shop xmas eve, and helped put some huge ass supra wheels on the 22rte corolla. Looks like a 4x4 now ^_^ Anyway, I'll try to swing by the shop tonight, but it won't be till after 7. Maybe I'll come by tomorrow. I dunno... my dad is coming up from CA, and I told him that I'd bring him by sometime. He's an old school air-cooled VW guy.

I just thought of this... I really want to install my new mufflers, and whatnot. I need some 2 1/2" exhaust pipe (don't really need any bends, I'm ok with pie cuts) but I'd like to get this in soon. I'm not going to have time to go and get any today, but Zai, if you read this, can you somehow get me in touch with the exhaust shop over near where you work so I can go get some pipe? Also, anyone interested in helping me put it in?

The Crv and Rav 4 are too tall and SUVish. I think it would be easier to lift a CRX than it would be to squish a Rav as thin as I would like. If it were up to me I would still take 2 or 3 inches off the top of the CRX. Quote:
Happy holidays to the PACNW crew too. It will still be a while before I get back up that way. |

It's not a hole, it's for air cooling. Heh!
Summer, you should think about a Suzuki Samurai. Soon as i get a chance to swing by John's shop during lunch this week i'll see what kind of scrap or deals i can get for us. |

hey, more tools! anything you want to donate is appreciated.
Making great progress on Chris' car. Gonna try and make it driveable before this year is over, haha. Good thing it's raining, less traction means we wont have to worry bout busting U-joints, haha. Anyone running a turbo brake master/booster? I need to take measurements for the front brace. |

Hey Zai, remember when we put in my engine the stock temperature gauge never worked and it showed that the engine was cold all the time. Well today all of a sudden it showed it was in the normal range and it has never done that before. I only drove a mile or so to my house and checked the fluids and they were in the normal range and the engine didn’t seem that hot. What could it be? I don’t want to ruin my awesome engine. Should I be driving my car?

Sounds like yr coolant temp sender decided it wanted to work again, haha. Long as it doesnt overheat, then it's fine. Last time we tested it we suspected a bad sender.
