Hey Josh, nice to you see you found our new home. We still post on the other forum, just not as much anymore. As you can see, my car looks a lot different than last time you saw it. Seth's 1mz pwrd car is running and driving if you are interested in that swap. Supposedly his supercharger is on the way, yikes! Drop by when you get the chance, we are still keeping the same hours, and check out the projects.

No doubt I will be there. I've shifted a bit into the MR2's favor from the LS1 FD. Seems that the costs just keep adding up. The engine, tranny, mounting equipment and everything to get it going... totals something to the tune of 9k. Then you have to buy a FD, do the maintainence upgrades... and there is talk that it may be necessary to use a Cobras IRS because of difficulty with room for the exhaust..
After its all said and done it looks like well more than 20k. Thats not something I'm looking to spend. I should be down this weekend, if not beforehand. Are you guys there during the week? |

sorry Zai. I wanted to get down there over the week end .. so much for that.. whats up?
I got my frame painted and the floor installed. now just putting it all back togather. lol Dylan came by today. did'nt get much done other than alot of talking.. lol he's got some good ideas.. I just did'nt get much work done. you know how that goes... I like his idea of just going with a T3 for now and getting some bugs worked out first then build the big one. would save some $ for now so I can get the rest of the car straightened out too. |

I've got a charcoal cannister. I've got a gas cap. I've got a catalytic converter. I've got an EGR valve. This isn't a JDM motor... good ol' 100% US Spec 22RTE. Btw - my MR2 catches traction on wet pavement at the top of 2nd gear on the shift to 3rd. The corolla? I didn't catch traction and ran out of parking lot before I could shift to 4th. I think the general feeling is that I'll be running: 205/50/14's on the front and 225/45/14's on the rear. Stock I believe is: 185/60/14's all the way around. This should cut down on my rubbing issue and give me sticky rubber for better hookup. |

congrats leng, I was wondering what was up with you.
Nothing too new, I think were going to swing on by today to do the rear sway bar on jasons car. I never got ahold of steve yesterday so I figure tomorrow I'll go over to the other shop and glue the lights in place. |

You guys have to see/hear the corolla, man that thing is just soooo funny. We will have to see how it handles in the dry, good thing it's wet cause something may have broken if Chris had traction, haahaa.
Hey Vince, i was thinking, maybe i should just go with our original idea of just building a light frame underneath to fasten the panel to. Looking as the test piece, man that thing sags a lot. It may flex and vibrate when cruising. Got some test ideas i want to run by you too. Oh yah, got couple of guys interested in the front brace, so starting to build two more. Dylan is pretty knowledgable about turbo 4a's, we talked about it when he stopped by last week also. Leng, you have to get Randy to come pick up the rest of his stuff before these guys start scavanging through it. I need the room and I dont want to lose anything. Anyhow, time is running out people. Next season is coming quick. So lets start gettin projects dialed in. Got to go represent the workshop group/ Even the ghetto rides, haha. |
