So when we gonna get to come join the party Leng? haahaa. Chris wanted to know if you didnt get her home in time, heeeh.
So after talking things over with Vince, i'm moving to a more complex design for the underpanels, which has now been kinda benched while i try and get the exhaust done. I think I will prob be going to 15 inch steel rims due to the available tire sizes for now. Once i get wheels/tires then i can work on the body and underpanels to properly mate them up. Still trying to get the right ecu and harness, trying to save for it. STILL need a right side axle for James car, not in a hurry but would like it DRIVEABLE, sheesh. For those of you that want to rebuild their transmission, you are looking at a 3 day schedule. I figure, start wednsday, so your car can sit on the rack , drop the trans out and tear it down, hopefully you'll have parts ahead of time, if anything breaks, then hopefully thursday you can order it and have it by friday. If everything falls together than it should be in and out in a day. Otherwise 3 days if you need parts. I would replace all the seals, synchros, bearings are optional. You'll need fluid and gasket sealer. |

hey zai does you or steve or anyone have a set of 6 7mgte 440 injectors???? seems like those are the ones needed to go with the sc. Their are a few on e-bay right now but I'd like to see if their are any local to get and have rebuilt vs getting some from out of state.
I made some progress on my lights and got the outter lip glued in the other day. one popped out though because I forgot to rough up the lexan but it's starting to look really slick...maybe I will have some lights this year. Oh yeah remind me to kick everyone in the nuts for me I think you and chris are safe. I think were going to swing on by the shop today and see if we can use the floor to put in jasons rear sway bar and the duce part duex if their is space. |

thats great to hear, I'm sure zai's happy
![]() The lights are glued in the car and about 70% done now. I'll have to come on by one of these days and use the plasma cutter to cut out the back portion where molding is at in the frunk (lights hit their) other than that I just have to make everything tits then paint them/repaint the hood and do the cover and wireing. maybe by next week or so it wont be a lemon after dark anymore. I'll try and swing on by tuesday or wendsday and get with you zai about those 7m injectors, let me know how much you want so I can pick them up and get them rebuilt. From the sounds of it the fuel pump and FPR can handel the 440's with no problem. |

Hey guys. I have been pretty busy over the break. After thinking about it a lot, I've decided not to pursue the 5S project anymore for now. I think I would be better off with a project I can do in my back yard that doesn't have a lot of wiring involved. Instead I'm going to be looking out for a cheap used 4AGE (largeport or smallport, but not 20v or SC) that I will keep out back and rebuild/work on when I can during school. During the summer I'd like to take a few days off work and swap it in. It won't require much if any custom wiring, and I will be able to borrow a cherrypicker and do probably all the work myself, except for some machining. This will be alot cheaper than a custom swap and will be a good starting point for getting engine swapping experience. (my brother's RB20 swap is still not running after 6 months, because he jumped way in over his head)
So, just so you guys know, that's what's up with me for now. If there are any cheap 4A's for sale in portland, let me know! (email is wound3s@gmail.com) I am checking craigslist and what not. But I'd appreciate it if you guys would keep an eye out. Thanks for your help anyways, guys. |

Wow that was one hell of a saturday night/sunday morning. I was there with Chris and Zai working on exhaust stuff. Sorry I had to bail on you guys, but I was having trouble staying awake (standing and sleeping). I stopped by around noon on sunday as well, but no one was home... I'll have to try and get a buddy to give me a ride by sometime. I can't wait to see this thing once it can... uh... turn... Had a great time working with you guys though! I forgot my jacket and sweater too. I'll try to get them soon, unless Chris or Xang wants to bring it by Jones Farm for me.
