[SMACK TALK MODE ON]
Well... if I was an over-weight, underskilled, wannabe racer car driver that had to goto bars, buy the ugliest girl there a drink, and slip them a roofie just to get laid because the professionals wouldn't touch me... I guess I might talk smack too... As for the coke habit... well... your 18yr old daughter said I could do lines off her wet shaved PU*** if she could have a little too...who was I to turn her down? She seemed like she could handle having a some pipe laid... but I guess she ended up complaining to yer wife that she couldn't walk right for a couple of days... cause now I can't get yer wife to stop calling me asking me to buy some blow and to get plumbed... damn.. too bad you're an electrician... [SMACK TALK MODE OFF] Ha Ha Vince... I'm just teasing you... when's your car going to run!? I can't wait to see that thing... should be wicked fast.. ![]() Last edited by Crispin; 01-19-2006 at 09:39 PM.. |

Inline Fuel Filter: 100$ Inline Fuel Pump: 150$ Aluminium Fuel Lines: 50$ Fuel line fittings: 100$ Let me look at the flow rate for my pump according to JEGS. I believe mine flows 43 GPH at 45 PSI... which looking at another pump... another pump says 26GPH at 45psi is good for 420HP...their 34GPH at 45 PSI pump is good for 420-850HP I doubt my pump is good for 1000HP... but that's what the numbers would indicate... |

Is that the max psi of the pump? For what we're looking at doing with Vince's car, we'd probably want to run about 100psi and then regulate it way down, just to give us some room for adjusting with the *ahem* boost increases... Maybe 100 is a bit much. As to the flow... I dunno. Your pump should be good for that much power, but when you start running that much, you're gonna run dual pumps just in case one fails... lean conditions at 1000 hp = t3h sux0r

Oh just saw what my pump says... TB injection upto 400HP... The bigger version supports: TB injection upto 800HP Multiport Injection, Naturally Aspirated upto 700HP Forced Induction, Multiport injection upto 600HP So that would indicate my pump would support upto 300HP Forced Induction, Multi-port Injection. Since I only plan on hitting ~180-200HP I should be okay ![]() Oh and I have a Holley Pump. |

damn... 43 gph is a lot too... *begin backpedal* I guess you need a lot more fuel than that for 1khp - judging what you've listed there, I think that the company listing the first round of specs might be using the Orange County dyno correction factor of +50%. I think we should definately consider overfueling Vince's car. I figure fuel pump rated HP of say 600 forced hp - and we can set that fuel rail up for dual end feed with a regulator in the center.

So, is this what you guys do when i'm not kickin yr butts to get yr cars done?
Crispin: YOU NEED TO GET YR CAR DONE. And all i did was pull it out and park it, i dont drive you people's cars like you do. Vince: Up the fuel psi. and volume, then turn it down for street use. Maley has me interested in a stand alone data loggin system that sounds like a good future investment. Found some very nice and inexpensive suspension components at Lefthander Chassi, we need to pool brain cells on this one. Shop is half dark, guess I really should get them lights fixed, haha. Clipsetuner: You bring parts, $60 I'll put it all together. Sethw: Shouldnt you be finishing those lights? Cpuzapper: Do i get to keep yr jacket? haha. Sentra-man: Sooooooo whipped! LOL. Some of you have seen the engine analysis software that Maley gave me. It is a very good learning tool. With the right specs you can learn a lot about what you can do with yr engines. I've been letting everyone that comes by work with it. If you are interested, come down and check it out. I'm suppose to be getting some software from Maley for building and tuning exhausts. |

Oh Zai,
You work on Monday right? We need to have the Legend's tranny pumped and filled like you were saying. Probably needs more than that but, we'll start there. How much are we looking at cost wise? Is it too late to get an appointment for Monday? Also, if we take it to your work, will you be working on it? I'm always wary of taking a car to a mech. I don't know. Feel like they are pulling wires and hoses so you'll be back, ya know? At any rate Jen has Monday off, and we need to get this stuff done to be safe. No telling how it was treated before we got it. |

well the hood/lights are really comming along. I couldent work on it at my grandpas place so I figured I'd white trash it and work out side, nice enough day out. I picked up a random opbit sander which works wonders, it might help you out chris as well with the body work on your hood.
I'll try and get some more pictures later today of it. I doubt it will be done before I have to work again (thursday) but if I plug away at it I think by this weekend it should be ready to go to paint. |
