Oh Zai, thanks for the help/work on the Legend yesterday.
I probably won't be able to make it down there this weekend. Jen goes in for surgery on Friday and I will have to keep an eye on her all weekend. This would make her 2nd surgery in 2 years. Uggh. On the upside, I found a non-shady place to buy the flooded cars and such. Talked to my insurance agent and he gave me info to contact people, and I have a couple websites now. Should be sweet! Screw the FD, for a flooded car lets just go all out with a LS1 NSX! I sold my account for the game I play online on ebay yesterday. For a nice sum of $400. I would say more, but its not exactly "legal" to sell it. Then I got an offer of $600 for my laptop I put up on Craigslist last night at like 11:30 pm. The best offer I had on the car forums I visit was $400 shipped. Now I just have to sell my piano. Everything MUST GO. Then, I found a piece of property that can be divided, and make bank off of. My dad has a construction company and he said he'd just have the company buy it as an investment and do all the work at cost. SWEET! Hopefully that pans out! I'm just having a killer day today! Course then, I think to Friday and I don't like to see Jen like that. Last year when she had surgery it just killed me when I was watching her. |

hey everyone, just decided to check this forum out since everyone seems to be posting here instead of oc.
For those of you who saw it I crashed my mk1 into a curb while drifting, but I have it fixed now(even better than before), and had a chance to get a couple of parts to repair my drivers side(was hit) now the only thing I will need is a quarter pannel... . anyway is anyone gonna be at the shop this saturday? I would like to finally come by, but we will see. |

Also zymosis (zack) started up a thread about possible PNW06 track dates, preaty much it's going to be in mid to late july or earily september..I'd say july. anyways looks like we are all going to have to get our shit together this year and represent Last edited by Seth W; 02-08-2006 at 02:58 PM.. |

There are 3 flooded FD's that will be going up for auction soon. 2 (what appear to be ) R1 Competition Yellow Micas (which are very rare) in Baton Rouge and 1 black one in New York.
I talked to my brother-in-law and he said he didn't care about me using his dealer number to set up an account. Problem is its $200 for a years use. Then it would be probably $1000 shipping from either of those places. So it would have to be $1200 cheaper to purchase this car, less than what I could get a car around here for and part out the stuff I don't need. So if I can get a car around here for $8k and part out say $1k then the flooded car would have to go for $5800. There is even one in Portland I am in talks with for $7k blown engine. So if I can part out $1k then I'd have to get a flooded car for $4800 to break even. Of course I guess there is still some parting out that can be done with the flooded car too. The auction service has shippers too... maybe they can do better than $1k shipping? UGH! What would you think a flooded RX7 would go for? Chris want to go in on the fee with me and you can buy the black one? :P Then on top of the cost factor, if the flooded one is a good deal, it would have to be that much better of a deal to warrant a Salvage title. Blah. |

kools, i'll keep that in mind, you really should sign up on the project list so you dont get bumped. anyhow, seth v. is coming down to put more time in on his civic. I'm prob gonna be working on my car most of the weekend, yes you heard it, hah. I finally picked up a new radiator, and am going to build another front brace, lighter design. So hopefully the front stuff will be done, minus the body work.

well the new front brace works great zai, the turn in seems to be better as well as less flex up front and the brakes feel better as well. other than the install I'd call it a hit

Hey guys,
Just checking in. It looks like we've decided on the weekend on July 28, 29 & 30 for PacNW2006. I helped Zac organize the last meet, and I'm going to try and be even more involved in organizing this one. If you have any questions about the meet, please let me know. Two days of open track, an auto-x on sunday, lots of cars, etc. If theres something you would like to see at the event, please let me know. |

Yeah, wells, figure we're prob gonna have to tow our cars down there Vince. Good to hear you like the front brace Seth. Working out the kinks for install, what a POS that was to install. Course it was easier on my car, new design should help out a lot. Hey Dylan, please keep us posted, since i really dont check the other board as much anymore.

Will do Zai - I'm waiting to hear back from Zac about the latest and greatest. If you know of anyone who wants to help sponsor the event, please let me know. We want this meet to be even better than the last. We're looking for business who want to either donate products, or services, preferrably related to MR2s, but we're fairly open to anything. We will provide advertising for sponsors through the website, on all of the registration and meet materials, and will do as much as we can to get their name and/or logo/website out.
And Zai/Vince, I want one of those braces for my mk1 - regardless of ease of installation! I know my front end flexes a lot, and my firewall even more under braking. Anyway, I'll post an update when I know more from Zac. EDIT: I just got the confirmation from Zac and the hotel - The meet is going to be the weekend of July 28,29, and 30. BE THERE! The website will be updated sometime this week with more details. http://www.pacnwmr2.com/ Its' now up in the MR2 Meets & Event sub-forum: http://www.mr2board.com/forums/mr2-meets-events/ Last edited by CpuZapper; 02-12-2006 at 10:50 PM.. |

well I had a chance today to drive the old car...I forgot how fun it is. I went up to the old highway today and even in the wet with gravel on the roads the cars still very fun. I think I mentioned it before but yes zai that new front brace is a improvement over the trd one. The front end feels a lot more connected with the car.
I think you wouldent have any problems making some to sell off to make a few $$$ for the car fund. My only suggetions would be to design one more for the 93+ brake booster so that way it would clear both pre 93 and +93's. Maybe powder coat them as well to make them look fancy but I could see them selling preaty well as long as your cost isnt too high. Other than that I'll probibly swing on by today, jasons car is having some problems. He thinks it the alternator or something because yeasterday the car just died on him comming back from work. he mentioned that the voltmeter dropped down very quickily and some warning lights flashed before it died. when I went to take a look at it, I didnt see anything obvious and the car fired right up....odd. anyways if you arent too busy doing your stuff maybe you could help me take a look at it??? I'll give you a ring later today. |

Seth, my '86 did the exact same thing and it turned out my battery was dead (not discharged dead, but dead dead... shorting out internally dead) and it took my alternator out with it.

I would like to see about getting some plates laser cut for the ends of the strut brace and getting the logo on there too.
I just looked at my old thread on the other site.... 3,626 views WOW!!! and Bill still won't let me post pics unless I pay a new membership. I thought it was good for a year. not just 3 months. |
