I am going to set up my own website. It's going to be pretty big and very well done. I have several ideas which I think could do positive things for the whole group.
I want to do something sort of like an online magazine. I would like to make a page for project 91 if Zai wants and a page for Vinces car if he is into it as well as stories on other projects and potential projects. I am working on drawings for the CRX in Adobe and Vanessa and I are working on getting a 3D program.
Zai I am sure we could make a section within the site that is strictly Mouabros or something but if your sister really wants to make you a site that's cool too.
I really don't have a clue right now as far as quality web design goes but I plan on picking up as much as I can while I am in CO and then working with my sister to make the site cool while I am in NZ.

I am also hoping to find a skilled editor willing to help out and sort of looking for artists who can draw in comic book/anime style.

I need a name for the site. Something that embodies what we do and or want to do.
I am so bad at coming up with names. I bet if I had a kid it's name would be kid till it was old enough to name it's own damn self.

It doesn't really matter since it would have a turbo slapped on it shortly after I got back.
It's all good... hopefully I'll have a MKI going by the time you get back and we can compare notes. . . I dunno. . . I wouldn't consider the engine I have planned "highly" modified. . . I'd consider it a pretty stock rebuild for the most part.

I was mostly kidding. I'm not opposed to the idea. I just don't know that Zai would want to do the swap while I'm gone just for the life experience.

C'mon Zai
I know ya want to.

On another note I got a close look at a CRV suspension. I was kinda hoping I could stay in the honda family but I didn't like what I saw. The rear actually looked decent. One thing I don't like with the CRV as well as the rav 4 is the rear lower controll arm is located near the bottom of the wheel reducing the ground clearance considerably. The front controll arms of the CRV were too short for my liking.
The Rav4 looks like it has longer front controll arms but I haven't gotten a real close look yet. You can tell just by looking at it though it sits higher and is designed to have more suspension travel than the CRV. About the only thing I didn't like were those rear controll arms.
I am still hoping there is some chance it would be possible to use 4Runner FIS and a 22rt.
I will be looking around for other options as well.

Well, we have the 22RTE mounted in Chris' corolla and the thing is just massive, haahaa. At this rate, this thing may be running by his birthday next month.

Actually we just moved from mr2oc.com and crossposting isn't something we have done in the past as bandwidth is limited.

He said he had to think about it.. but he was thinking pretty hard. . .

Hell yea i bought it. i am still thinking.

Well i called lou about his wrecked 2, and well it turns out he had to sell it quick and sold it to some guy in springfield, MI for only $100 bucks. i was like o hell no.

But i have some guys offering me for my car and also my other wheels, i may end up keeping the car and fixing everything.

Anyone know of anyone selling a clean good running MK1? Let me know.

Leng

actually jason was kind of bummed out that you got that second gen when he got his 1st gen, anyways how is it? If it's in any decent condition I'd personally just keep it, I doubt you'll find another one for that cheap. I drive it around for a few months and if you dont like it sell it, chances are you'll fall in love with it. Just take it real easy when it's wet out cus you will spin it.

I was going to swing on by today but zai said it's packed so maybe if their is room before the weekend I'll swing on by and work on the 1st gen. We installed our cusco front and rear strut bars today but thats about it. We went ahead and ordered up a set of whiteline springs and sways bars as well for the car. that coupled with the new brakes, rotors, brake cylinder and kyb's should make a good differance. I think besides that, the motor, rubber suspention related bits and tie rods it should make for a preaty good car. we are figureing all said and done it should be about 2500 built but prices always change when factoring in motor swaps.

Needs cap, rotor, spark plugs, wires, oil change, fuel filter, oil filter... differential fluid change... probably a timing belt... clutch needs an adjustment (possibly just drained and new fluid)... needs new rotors, brake pads, and a brake fluid change... valve cover gasket... distributor O-ring ... ebrake cables...new front windshield... professional detailing job to get rid of that "wet dog" smell...

and then after that we should look at why it is such a dog for an "80,000 mile" motor... it's got 0 power... my motor with 200,000 on it pulls harder then that 80,000 mile motor...

but that's just my .02 cents...

In short about 700-1000$ and a good solid weekend of maintenance...

well looks like lengs got his work cut out for him you could probibly get that knocked out in a day or two which isnt too bad.

So I guess this is our new thread/board then?

Other than that the new yob isnt too bad, taking x-rays of parts is neat...one thing which was odd is that you stick your head into the x-ray tube to site down the part your shooting, thats kind of differnt but the good thing is it isnt a live source so I wont be glowing in the dark or loosing my hair because of it

Unless he trades me cars... but I am going to see where I am at with racing/car projects after I finish the corolla... (hopefully in a week or so!)

I could get that knocked out pretty easy in a day or two if I wasn't being lazy... HA HA... I am waiting for my springs for my corolla...

Dro and I did the spark plugs / cap / rotor/ added oil last night...

Tonight I am pondering brakes/rotors... but I REALLY want to wait for my springs before I take that all apart...

So I might be doing wiring diagrams / dash install / paint prep stuff..

What a bunch of slackers. I tell ya, if i didnt keep kick'n you guys in the butt all the time nothing would ever get done. As soon i finish up with Chris' moms car, i'm gonna start puttin Jame's 2 back together. Gettin tired of pushing that thing around. Then friggin Dro better come up with an engine soon or I'm gonna make him tow his car home. On the bright side, Seth V. is making good progress on my underbody panel. He said he's gonna talk to the material guy and see what he can come up with that is cheaper than aluminum for a prototype.
