well good news for me, I got my loan today so I can start buying crap for the swap. Chris if your around the shop today or tomorrow that would be great, I'll need to get your full name and maybe adress so I can get you a certified check from my bank for the car.
If anyone wants stuff from summit racing as well let me know I'll probibly be placing a order late this week or earily next week. Also I'm going to be ordering some stuff from greddysetgo (clutch and maybe some greddy RX7 stuff) so if you guys want anything from him let me know as well so we can save on shipping. how loud are racing mufflers? I found some preaty nice ones that seem preaty small and compact which may work for the side pipes....I think straight pipes will still be way too loud. Anyways I'll give you a call zai and swing on by the shop to talk to you some more about a set date and such for the swap. |

race magnum muflers... they are short and do quiet things a bit. I never had a sound problem on my Z when others did with other muf's. its made by Dyno max.

cool, I just gave zai a ring but just got his machine, jason was talking about washing/waxing the rx7 so if I dont hear back from zai before jason calls again I may just go over their today...we'll see.
as mentioned I think I just need your last name to make the money out for and were good. do either of you guys want anything from summit? Other than the mufflers I was thinking of getting some nice heat barrier stuff to replace the old black heat mat by the firewall. Thats about all I can think of I'm still undecided if I want to go with ss braded lines for the rad hoses or simpily go with whats given for the normal setup, none the less I want to reroute mine a little differnt this time. what do you guys think about 2 of these a tips? ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by Seth W; 04-18-2006 at 09:23 PM.. |

oops...hey seth... you think you could loan me some money to get my rads? lol... I'm really going to have to work on mine to get it truly ready to run if I'm going to ..... keep up with Zai.
ran it yesterday... 1st - 3rd up in smoke...I need to take this thing to the track and run it with out the body just to get the times on it.... Holly @#%*! This thing takes off.... I need to start working on the seat and belts. and the final on the shifter too. I'm still woking on the breaks. They kinda work, I think, but I have not realy got it up past 50mph to really try it and see what the footage is. And I don't like to run it for mor than 3 or 4 min without any water it. |

Odd problem.
Jen's Legend lost all pressure on her brake pedal today. She would push it clear to the floor and it would almost coast to a stop, by her account. I just took it for a mini drive and the pedal almost feels stiffer than ever. Brakes fine. Zai and I topped off the brake fluid about 2 months ago. It is now between max and min so it must have a leak somewhere. However, why would it completely lose all brake pressure then be fine? Any chance I could use some of the resources this weekend to figure it out? She's borrowing her parents ride until then, and I hate owing the in-laws ANYTHING. |

most likly your master cyl. is going out. the seals will roll around on the piston and let fluid passs by as you hit the breaks. check for any fluid in the car or around the booster. and check on a new master cyl. |

yeah, most likely the brake master cylinder, i think i mentioned that to you once already.....i'll check prices tomorrow for you. Call me on my cell 503-419-7366 mid morning. Bad master will be a soft pedal that drops to the floor as you hold it.
got to see vince's car run today. Damned is all i gotta say! |
