Boost3d2: Take a look at my Member Garage to see all the parts that are sourced or already installed on my car. I am shooting for anything over 400hp on race gas, and 360-370 on pump with my TD06 after all said an done.

The remaining things I will be doing on my car this summer after the motor build in order to achieve that:

1. Installing an A/W intercooler with a frount mount heat exchanger
2. Installing a RMR Intake Manifold
3. Installing an AEM Standalone with 800 or 850cc injectors
4. Have my car tuned by John Reed at RRev Motorsports

I want to push the TD06 to the limit, as my project goals have been to make the most power and torque under the curve as possible. If i ever do get an inkling to switch turbos, I will probably go with a gt3082. ATS just did a race gas pull with a car built similarly to mine, and netted 562rwhp with that turbo. I noticed you have a GT30 on your car. What version Are you running and do you have any engine management?

After that, i still have a body kit to install and paint at home. Border Front, Toms Sides w/ stepfins, Toms Rear, Bomex Type 1a Spoiler.

=)

Zai: It looks like i am working 12-9 on Saturday, so our plan to go down to Paolo's sounds like it will work out. I will bring cash for the gasket kit and hoses. I still need a few OE pieces though:

Water Pump
Oil Pump
Timing Belt
Odds and Ends

I can't wait to get rippin' into the building the beast..

=)

What a good feeling that has rushed over me. After a year and a half of being on my own, with nobody to talk to about anything even remotely related to engines/wrenching/beer and burgers I've finally realized what I need to do. I've been feeding my own personal itch using my keyboard and the internet, ... dreaming of the days where a wannabe monkey like me can get together with a group of real monkies such as yourselves. Well I can tell you guys now that I've been away too long. I can't deny it anymore. I'm moving to Portland... I put my two weeks in yesterday. I hope to see you guys soon. I havn't been to portland in almost 8 months... and I'm ready to call it home. Zia, Steve, Seth, Leng... I'm eager to join in on all your projects with you soon, I miss being the shop *****... and I'll be jealous if you have a new one other than me.
I have a project of my own... of which I am probably well over my head in, but I'm insistant on carrying it through on my own; I'm sure you remember very well, Zia, how I love to do my research and spend every dime I have, but disreguard what kind of work it takes to carry through. I've been learning alot, though; definately not as quickly and easily as I did with you guys around. But it's almost done, and I hope to come show you guys soon.

A glimpse... Am I foolish?

Just got too busy...

Hmmm.....is that really Crocker? Been awhile, howya doing? ST205 ? Hmmm.....very interesting.

So it looks like gotta get the engine into the sentra. Thanks guys for coming by and helping me sort out the shop. Now Pauls car is stored in the project corner. If things go as planned then SethW's cars should be coming in this weekend for his swap. Heya, Vince, looks like you may be making some more tow money, hehe. Findlay needs a clutch in his 88SC so it's lookin like next week at the earliest for his car.

Far as this weekend: Morning- the plan is to make a run to the dump, then to clackamas steel for some tubing and aluminum sheet, then Paul and I are gonna go up to Paolo's . Anyone that would like to come along is welcome. Noon- back to the shop to work on SethW's swap, maybe sneak in some time on my car, not sure who else may show up. Evening- Depending on how far we get and how motivated we are, work will continue into the late night hours, or we take a break and go to PIR for the late night drags.

Anyhow, looks like another busy weekend. You guys need to pitch together and buy me a cot so i dont have to sleep on the office floor while you tinker with yr cars till the sun comes up, haha. Last time i slept in my mr2 seat it put a major kink in my neck.

I plan on helping Zai out in the morning with the dump... but then I'm going to try and convince him to take my air compressor /hose/sheet aluminum to my house... so I should be home in the afternoon if you guys want to stop by for the car.

I'll try and get a bill of sale typed up... I wanna goto the late night drags. but 22$ for 3 runs is too rich for my blood... I'll be waiting until you guys report that it has died down a little bit.

Finally got my rods in. =) Bearings, headstuds, and valvesprings should be here today, tomorrow or monday. Then it's GO TIME. I can't wait to see how this thing revs with all the reduction in rotating mass...

Another part to add to the list of oe needs:

OE Main Studs

i cant wait to see your numbers when you get it on the dyno. ive always been a fan of the td06 and was once on the verge of purchasing one. i dont have an ems just yet but ill be getting an aem and injectors pretty soon.

i recently found that on the track power isnt nearly as vital as one would think. with a cracked turbo manifold and only making at max 6-8 pounds of boost and only after 5 grand... it wasnt too tough to eat up a few sti's. i was very suprised. out cornering(of course) out braking, out accelerating them.... basically out performing the few scoobies in my group. i loved it. the beauty of all wheel drive..... train loss.... you gonna track your car at all? the best 150 dollars ive spent on mine.

Well... I've been sitting here in class bored for the last 4 hours and its finally coming to a close. So what time is stuff happening? Paolo's? Anyway, I'll be by the shop around 12:30... or if you're leaving call me on my cell so I don't waste the gas to find a locked shop. I'm bored.... really bored... ANOVA apparently is hard for people... you just put numbers into Excel and it gives you an answer... Tell Steve to bring back those CDs for the Digital Dyno software too damnit! I'll see you guys this afternoon, unless I have to go service my rally car, then I'll still see you guys this afternoon. This is pretty random isn't it.

I definitely plan on doing some open track days once everything is sorted, including intercooling. Right now I'll just be excited to be driving my car again to tell you the truth... =) 1.5 months is too long to go without an addiction..

I can't believe how long parts took to come in. I never had a problem with parts with my honda builds...

I like the TD06 so far on stock block with 14lbs of boost... Good spool, and good power. From the compressor maps, the turbo isn't even really waking up until then, so when I am excited to actually boost the hell out of it and see what its capable of. I think I will have to run 11 lbs or so until I get my EMS sorted. Similar motor builds with the TD06 are pushing the stock injectors to a danger point at that same boost level..

Hopefully i will be able to get enough funds during breakin and thereafter to finish the engine and drivetrain side of this project. =)

On a different note, Paolo's is pretty sweet! Roy is awesome. It was good to meet him. I am excited to see what his handiwork is capable of... =)

....man that pressure washer is cool, we got my dads truck super clean in no time with it.

We got the motor out of the car today, right now its in limbo until my clutch show up. we've preaty much decided to skip the water injection, bigger injectors and 7lb pulley for now (less down time) but I think as is with 5lb it should be preaty fun. My racing exhausts were too big so I have to go with 12" ones insted of the 23" but it should be a lot easier with those for routing the side pipes.

I might do another order through summit this week or next so if you guys want anything shipped along with my stuff we can save on shipping. also I was thinking of getting some tien camber plates for my car, the rears are really worn on the inside from lowering it....maybe thats why my last set lasted 6k miles anyways I think danny/greddysetgo is doing a gb on tien stuff so also if you guys want to save on shipping for anything we should combine orders. I think they do some lower arm bars and other suspention goodies.

Hah, my FD might need that pressure washer here very soon. The interior is almost completely gutted. Just working on the AC and heater core now.

My father in law was talking to me about going to buy a sand blaster to blast on my interior. Anyone else interested in this?

He was talking of some place that sells a portable one.

________________________________

Any word from Dro recently? Not sure if he is still interested in my engine or what. He has first dibs at least. I think Seth/Jason has second dibs. Though, I'm not really sure how anyone could have it now, since we don't have a method to get it out.
