well I think I'm going to pass on the inconel idea, I called about prices and it's a lot, for one 2" u bend with a 4" radius it's $195... I'd think about $1200 all said and done, so I think I'll stick to 321 stanless and ceramic coat it. Other than that nothing real new.

Ok, people's it's confirmed. June 10th, saturday, dyno event is scheduled. So i suggest you lazy peeps get yr butt's in gear. Dont know how much it's gonna cost, but it's just the workshop group and Jay and his dad. We figured taking the whole day so the more of us there are, the cheaper it'll be. Jay said he'd bring his grill and i figured everyone could bring some food/drinks and we'd make a day of it.

this weekend...hmmm....i'm thinkin sethw sure wants to get his car done.....then i really want to get my car done........i guess everyone wants to get their car done..........shoot, i guess if there were MORE PEOPLE HELPING EACH OTHER OUT, things would get done faster........just a suggestion........hehe.
and i'm still making progress on my car........... suppose to rain this weekend, so looks like a good time to do some work indoors (hint). anyhow post up or call me so i can plan the long weekend. if anyone is really motivated, i'm shooting to do a long friday night. Oh yeah, by the way, Steve's birthday is thursday, just got an email. His wife wants to surprise him with a party at Hooters over at mall 205. I think the rest of you should come since he's always helped with everyone's projects. |

I offered it to Chris. However, would anyone be interested in taking over my project? Don't really want to get into it, but my wife and I are faced with the decision of having kids now, or possibly not being able to.
So, I'm thinking I might want something a little less involved (and I'd have a lot more help with), like a Mr2 V6 swap. ![]() At any rate, I know some of you guys like 7's and/or are interested in them. I'm not looking to hose anyone, especially someone from the group. So if I can break even I'd be happy. Let me know. |

Hey Zia hope everything is going good over there... I'm moving up on the 21st so I hope to see you all soon. But in order to get up there I have to finish with this motor. I'm wondering where I should order Toyota parts from? Is there a place online I could go? Thanks for the help. See you all soon!

11:44 PM, after going through 2 engines and looking 2 more over since this morning, we've finally got 1 good engine assembled. Definitely an economy rebuild, but it's torqued/plastigaged/gasketed/bearinged/re-ringed.....all for less than $200 buck. Now that's gotta be the cheapest engine we've built all year, LOL.
Workin on my wireing....doing it the hard way, but I cant wait to find the right harness...this POS gotta run soon, haha. I've ordered a switch panel like the one i got for Vince and a master battery disconnect for my car. Thanks for the help today guys, I'm sure Vince really appreciates the helpin hands. |
