Other: Compressor Setup, Plasma Cutter setup (thanx Vince), other 3 air tools picked up. If Leng is done tying up the rack for like 3 weeks straight and then thinking he can ***** at me about anything. Maybe Zai won't make me lay on the floor and let me get some rack time so I can work above and below the car a bit easier. |

aren't you higher up in status anyways, just kick him off
I got my bomex wing today and it looks nice on the car, only thing is it needs to be painted. other than that nothing too new, I dont have to work until 1045 on the weekends so I'll see whats going on then. That plasma cutter sounds like too much fun. I was thinking maybe we should make up a tool with it to help kock out the axels on our cars seeing as they are a ***** to do. I'd still like to see if I can get one some time to do my tranny and axel stuff but right now thats a little up in the air with my scedual. |

Well, been busy down here at the shop. Got Randy's sentra driveable, finally, sheesh. Dont think there's anything we didnt swap, haha. Still hunting for and axle for James' car, other than that it runs pretty good. Did some more work on Chris' corolla.
On the flip side, finally found the time to get back to messin with my car. Modified the stock speedo, took it out of the gauge cluster. Made a little bracket for it and plugged the cable in. Now it sits on the dash bar right above the ignition. I took it apart and zero'd it, so now we'll know how many miles we've pushed it around, LOL. Made a throttle cable bracket to properly position the cable over the supercharger. Mounted an oil pressure gauge, dont have long enough nylon tube though, so it may be a bit before it's operational. Looks good zip tied to the dash bar though, hehe. Going to FINALLY get project91 up on the rack tonight, had to get everyone else's projects going first. Looking like next on the mod's list is the underpanels and the shifter relocation. Vince and I are still working on the whole suspension design, kinda hard when you starting from scratch, haha. Project91 is starting to look more like a real ghetto racer, LOL. |

Yeah SethW... I'll be down there... we are putting the wheels back on the corolla tonight and putting it on the rack.
From my understanding I'll be on the rack to: Finish welding the trunk. Reinstall brake hard lines. Install/fab exhaust Finish bolting up the engine. Install fuel system. Project Drifter1 update (at least thats what the yellow tag said): KYB GR-2 struts and shocks: Installed. The old ones were, you guessed it, done. Big surprise there eh? Intrax springs: Installed. The old ones were not even sitting in the perch any longer. Thanx for cutting those guys! I'll check the air pressure in the tires and mount them back on the car just to get an idea what the car will look like with a 1.6" drop F/R. Should look decent but sit higher then it was. PBR brake pads: Installed Brembo front rotors, whatever rear rotors: Installed. Thanks for the help this weekend Zai. Going to shoot for getting the brake hardlines in tonight. Then start cutting up and getting the exhaust tacked together in the right order. to make it to the front of the car. 2.5" exhaust for that little baybay turbah might be over kill. However, it just gives me a reason to upgrade later! |

cool I'll be down their tonight I dont have anything better to do and besides it's been a while.
I drove my car around today and for some reasion the clutch is slipping to some degree, up to 60 it slipped all 4 gears.... Anyways at this point the main concern is the lights but I would like to see if one of these day I could do the tranny stuff. only probiblem I see is my hours vs zai's hours but we'll tak about it some more at the shop. |

So i finally got some more tubing, stupid 4feet kits. Gonna give that a try, haha. Built a plate and temporarily relocated the shifter assy. It sits up about 4 inches in the front and 2.5 inches in the back tilted at an angle towards the driver. Feels natural to me, but everyone that's tried it so far thinks it's still a little off. Course i made it for me, so too bad, LOL. I'll prob move it up a tad once i shorten the shifter, hehehe. Looking to get that ironed out here soon, and then do some more fab work on the underpanel. Then next is the exhaust. Gonna have to see what kind of hook up i can get for piping. Vince offered to help with the rear brace, thanks Vince, and i have some tubing left over from the front brace project so that may be happening here soon also. Sheesh... at this rate i'm really going to have to get back to making the damned engine run, haha.
Looks like this may be a busy weekend. Have had a few people talk to me about using shop space already, so please come pitch in so we can get everyone's projects rolling. And i STILL NEED TO FIND A RIGHT SIDE AXLE FOR JAMES' CAR so please be on the look out for one. |

hey what size tubeing did you use on james car to make the 2nd gen exhaust work on it, 2 1/4? Jasons 1st gen keeps on falling off, if you still have one of those 2nd gen ones kicking around I'll throw some cash your way for it.
He got most of his springs and suspention bits in today and should have the rest by the weekend. I'll let him work it out with you but maybe if the weekend is crazy we could do some of it on monday or tuesday when I'm off, other wise depending on how busy thigns are at the shop I may head on down before I have to work on the weekend. I got the bits needed to work on my lights again and got one of the sides done, preaty much I just need to cut out the other panel for the light then glue the outer lip to the hood. It's starting to look really slick. You guys finish up the fuel lines the other day? depending on how things are tomorrow before work I might make a apperance. |

no.. I had to order different / more parts... but we laid it all out last night...
Looking like it will work... look good... and be easy! 1/2" fuel tubing upto the 1st fuel filter + pump... then 3/8" tubing all the way to the second filter. if that doesn't supply enough fuel... well.. then there is something wrong. |
